This waterfront property offers beautifully appointed luxury villas, designed for maximum privacy and relaxation. Each has a beachside patio, private swimming pool, air conditioning and stunning lagoon views. From the moment we were collected from the airport to the day we left, we were treated as special and valued guests. The villas are exceptionally well-appointed and comfortable. While they're luxurious, they still feel like "home". A difficult thing to achieve, but Aitutaki Escape has managed to do this. Thomas and his team made every effort to make our stay memorable. We are grateful for their efforts to help us - from a delicious breakfast delivered every morning, arranging a hire car , arranging lagoon tours and helping us find somewhere to eat in the evening. The private pools are a bonus, and we made good use of them - especially in the evenings. We would highly recommend Aitutaki Escape and look forward to returning one day.

This stay was exceptional. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and did well at remembering your name and personalising your stay. The facilities were perfect and the resort was immaculate. The food was really good and there were good salad options, which was not as common in the Cook Islands as a whole. The staff did well to keep the spirits of the resort high, which snacks, cocktail hour, free cultural dances and crab races. We had a really lovely time and would definitely stay again!
Lovely resort, lots of activities, free hire of bikes and kayaks! Staff were amazing and the room was gorgeous!
We loved pretty much everything about the resort, the staff were wonderful, facilities were great and the location was perfect.
Staff were amazing. Great to have access to bicycles to cycle around the resort. Best Piña colada i had while in the cook islands
Absolutely fantastic location on the peaceful beach. More nights I stay there, more I love it. So much meanings for your life than boring resorts offer (where I just came there) Services worked great, renting the scooter was easy, cruise they offer on the lagoon was special for me! But the beach in 10 meters - it’s a thing! What is more luxus than walk by the safe and silent (!) beach to good restaurant on the sunset and with the torchlight back.
Excellent location of barely discovered Aitutaki. Ora Kiana day trip snorkeling was excellent. Larger vessels do not have the maneuverability around the coral. Restaurants were all excellent. Day car rental was ok. private island resort had nice products to buy and upscale meals.
We enjoyed the bicycles, those were a great touch. We also enjoyed the ambience of the outdoor shower. The rooms were nicely air conditioned so made for a very comfortable stay and we liked the option of substituting room service for a rebate - nice touch! Loved the nu every morning at breakfast. Dinner wasn't too bad at the resort but would have liked to see more of a range of cocktails.
Rooms and breakfasts were very "tropical island" style, which was done well. there was a depression like a "50 meter lap pool" in front of the villas in the lagoon that enabled one to swim whatever the tide. This suited us as would snorkel at Base 1 or near large resorts close to high tide, and swim at any time at Tai Roto. very relaxing eating or reading on the verandah of villa. We mainly self catered.
The lagoon is absolutely beautiful, and you can go for beautiful walks for instance on the nearby private island resort. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the lagoon. The couple that run the place have not been there a very long time, so I don’t know if they might have plans to upgrade the place. I hope they have.
Casual luxury is exactly what you get . Great location, great food , great service. Nothing was a problem. We spent 7 nights in a Beachfront Bungalow. Room 202 . Although all the bungalows look great and are located well it was worth the extra to be right on the beachfront. Having a beautiful breakfast included is fantastic and with either continental and / or full cooked al acarte it certainly sets you up for the day ! Don’t bother looking elsewhere, Tamanu Beach Resort is where you need to be 😊.Look forward to a return visit soon.
