The units in the resort are equipped with a coffee machine. At Pistohiekka Resort, every room has air conditioning and a private bathroom. Nice place by the lake, good beach, food in restaurant was great. Breakfast delivered to room and breakfast had everything we needed. Nice nature in the area. Very suitable for families.

Parking and public area WiFi are free on site. Punkaharju city centre is 9 km away. Punkaharju Nature Reserve is located right next to the resort. We were made very welcome and the chalet conformed to the description. No bad surprises. The chalet was spacious, heated before our arrival and the fireplace allowed us to spend good times inside even though it was -25 outside. The sauna in the chalet was a real plus too. Very close to the lake, the snowshoe or Nordic ski trails, it is a perfect location which gives the feeling of being in the heart of nature while being in the immediate vicinity of a clear traffic route, which is not negligible in extreme cold. I think we will come back if the opportunity arises.

Imatra is 74 km away from Sahanlahti Resort. It was quiet with a nice back porch ! We enjoyed the breakfast and the ability to wander around the property even after checking out! The dinner at the restaurant was one of the best we ever have had —- and we have been around :). We enjoyed seeing all the rental options for our family for next time!

Overlooking Lake Puruvesi in Punkaharju, this resort is 100 metres from a beach and 25 km from Kesämaa Adventure Park. Guests can rent canoes, motor boats and snowmobiles on site.

All accommodation options at Holiday Resort Naaranlahti have a TV and a kitchenette. The refrigerator, microwave and tea/coffee maker provide comfort and convenience. The place was amazing. At first we thought it would be boring, but the longer we stayed, the better we enjoyed the stay. And the view from our cottage is amazing. We would definitely stay longer next time.

Lunch and à la carte dinner dishes are served at Restaurant Paviljonki during summer. At other times, a snack bar is available. Leisure options include a mini golf course and tennis court. Wi-Fi is free in public areas.

Kesämaa Waterpark and Johanna Oras' Art Mansion are both within 5 minutes’ walk of Punkaharju Resort. Savonlinna Airport and city centre are less than 35 minutes’ drive away. The ambience of the place is what I liked the most here. A bit away from the highway by the lake amid the picturesque landscape of Punkaharju, the resort is among the perfect places if you are looking for a place to unwind. The Punkaharju ridge and the nature trails in Lusto area are just a few kilometres away - you can either walk or rent a bike from the reception. Apart from this, one can participate in a number of leisurely activities. The resort also has an aquatic park and rope park close by. For food you can visit their restaurant or even cook in the kitchen if you are camping. Talking of camping, they have quite a large area for pitching tent or parking caravan. Other options to stay include cottages. I stayed in one of the small economy cottages with two beds. It was decently size with a refrigerator and a microwave a couple of chairs outside. Given the size of the cottage it does not include any closet but has a shelf to keep stuffs. Finally, before I forget, I need to mention the staff who were very helpful and always served with a smile.

Located next to Lake Suurjärvi, Tanhuvaara Sport Resort offers a private beach area, buffet restaurant and variety of on-site activities. Guests have free access to WiFi and to the fitness centre.

The Tanhuvaara Sport Resort restaurant and bar, Espilä, serves Finnish and international cuisine. Drinks and snacks are also available in the lobby café. For one night stay everything was good. Nothing stood out as really good.
