Incredible service and incredible overall experience. It's like staying in a fancy cabin in the snow. The lounge area with the giant fireplace is awesome, very nice food, very spacious rooms and first class facilities such as the onsens and indoor swimming pool. The decor could be interpreted as dated (as other reviews have stated) but we felt this simply adds to the warmth and cosiness of the establishment. The service here is seriously next level and it is fantastic value for money.

Situated on Lake Nojiri in Shinano, Nojiri Lake Resort features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Rooms include a private bathroom fitted with a bath. Ted and his team are delightful. We had a lovely time at beautiful, eclectic Lake Nojiri. It's a hidden gem close to more ski fields than 10 days could do justice. Breakfast was great and kept us going most of the day.
