The staff were really nice! Altough they are not fluent in English, they tried their best to help us. The food at the hotel is amazing! especially the tortellini! A special shout out for Lida who helped us immensly at the front desk and as 2 woman traveling solo, we felt safe here in this hotel. Also nice room with sea view.

Staff who looked and acted new couldn't understand basic English. Hassle over bills which other guest dident seem to have . Charged 54 euro at end of night when we had paid all bills and no explanation what it was for my silly girl friend just paid it . Used to have good staff here but seems all gone and polish chef tool Ballymoney for food and dident bring change it would have gone in a tip to waiter was not happy about this chef the food day before was brill when he was on not in same league . He spent more time smoking and chatting to folk .

We ate in the hotel on our first evening. I ordered chicken risotto (lovely although a bit salty) and my boyfriend ordered beef stroganoff. The stroganoff was terrible, 3 unidentifiable bits of meat that we’re not convinced was beef with no rice or anything on the side. The meat was inedible, tough and gristly so when the lovely waiter came to check he apologised and came back with the chef. The chef was not happy that we, the paying customer, had complained about the food. He was very rude and tried to say he had no English so couldn’t understand what we were saying and then when my boyfriend asked him to take his food away he suddenly discovered he could speak English well enough to insult us and call us names. We were having some wine with dinner, he then called us drunks and got very threatening to my boyfriend. We told him to just go away and leave us alone. The waiter who was serving us was so embarrassed and apologetic but it was not his fault. We work in hospitality, we know it’s a tough gig but when someone says their food is not good enough they need to be treated with far more respect than this. Buffet breakfast was very sparse but possibly offers more choice during peak season?

The view!! Make sure you get a sea view room. Nice pool and the beach area in front of the hotel is nice. Lovely comfy bed, lovely bedding, big towels, aircon worked well, decent size although slightly dated bathroom. The reception and waiting staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Location is good, close enough to walk into Durrës and explore there.

The cleaning staff talked very loudly in the corridor outside the room from around 8:00-9:00 on the two mornings and as the rooms aren't sound proof it makes sleeping a bit difficult. The WiFi in the restaurant, poolside and beach area was okay but in the room it was terrible and you had to stand by the door to get a connection.

The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and the shower was great. We had a family room which had a bunk bed for our kids. There was also a TV with some kids channels. The pool was very nice and the bar downstairs had affordable prices. The location makes accessing the city a bit complicated unless you walk (45 minutes ) or take a taxi (for around €8). But there are also plenty of restaurants, an ATM and two medium sized supermarkets within 200 metres of the hotel so you have all you need if you want to just chill out rather than explore. The pool was nice and the check on was quick and easy.

I recently stayed at Vivas Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. Lack of some additional things in the room. There were no glasses for water, barroom was empty, no cosmetics in the bathroom except basic ones.
