Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainAntic Brilant hotel is marvelous in terms of its architecture and interior design. If what you want is to sleep in a traditional Albanian house, this is your hotel. The room was clean and everything was spotless. The breakfast is very rich and varied. And Vladimir's attention, the owner of the Hotel, is very good and frienly. We even had to try the rakia that they make at the hotel. We have been left to dine in the dining room decorated in the traditional style. We will definitely be back. thank you vladimir!

The room was huge for a solo traveler but its worth-it if you want to stay in a beautiful room with good furniture at least to experience like a royal hahaha. Had a good breakfast during my stay and I was surprised that the breakfast is in the basement with beautiful interior. Good internet connection. Near to shopping mall and city center.

AlbaniaEverything in the hotel is a miracle! The hotel is located in the best area of the center of Tirana! The staff is wonderful and very helpful! They offer transfers from the airport but also different tours in the cities of Albania! The room has a very comfortable bed and super clean toilet. Breakfast is fresh, continental and with 3 types of coffee (Ekpress, Turkish coffee, American coffee). The parking lot is located in front of the hotel and is free. Best price and Best Service 5 stars. I highly recommend it and say it is the best hotel in Tirana.

United KingdomNot so much what I didn't like, but what could've improved it slightly would be a kettle in the room lol ;-) I am English so forgive me, not everyone needs that I am sure. There was a fridge which held some beer and water but the thing was so loud I woke up one night and thought there was a agitated beehive in the room. No biggie though, generally this was a good room. Breakfast was continental, which is OK if you like cold cuts first thing in the morning.
What lured my finger to press 'reserve' was the style of this place. You will have seen the photos by now, and we were told that this is one of the oldest hotels in Tirana, which made it pretty fun as opposed to the generic white walled, kettle on the bedside table, Holiday Inn's that are everywhere. The location was perfect, right by the castle and nightlife, and didn't need to catch a taxi the whole trip. The staff in particular were really pleasant and helpful with tips of what to do and how to do it.

United KingdomThe only minor point was that the toilet seat in one of our two rooms was missing (room 12), but I understand this will be fixed soon.
The hotel was in a very central location and the staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good and a lot of the items being served were home made. The hotel WiFi was very fast, with a strong signal throughout and could even be reached at the end of the street!!

GermanyFirst they tried to offer me a small room with a window looking out directly on a roof with cables. When I refused to accept it as it was not at all what I booked I got offered a room with 3 single beds which I was also not happy with. Only then was I shown a nice big room.
The location is perfect, the room was spacious, nicely furnished and clean. The breakfast could have been a bit better especially the bread.

TurkeyBreakfast is average, it can be improved. I dont say no to an omlette. Refrigator is working too loudly but if you shut down it is not a problem. 2 bottles of water must be served to customers for free.
It might be the cleanest hotel I've ever seen. Location is perfect, in the center and quite.
