Staff are not well trained and don't communicate information well to guests. All bars closed at 11pm. The hotel information says the sports bar is open to 1am but this isn't the case. There is very little in the way of restaurants and bars in the local area if you are looking to leave the resort.

The restaurant closes at 9:30pm. There are morning and evening flights to Albania. It takes roughly 55 minutes to get to the resort from the airport. My evening flight was delayed, i got to the resort at after 10pm after a hectic and hungry airport wait only to arrive and be told that the restaurant is closed. A resort of that standard should run their kitchen up until 12pm to ensure guests who come in late can have something to eat!

Requested Level but advised by receptionist that it was not worth it as out of season so not worth the price. The floor in Italian restaurant was filthy and we refused to sit at the dirty table. Disappointing for 5 stars.

Staff helpful. Lovely hotel, excellent breakfast. Buffet dinner not great. Meat tough and food lukewarm warm. Floor around the indoor pools extremely slippery. Paid half board for a friend who could make it and I understand the room rate was non refundable but feel the extra paid for food should have been refunded. Used some of my points and these should be returned as the meals were not used.

One of the best spa we have been, but you would think you can relax but few hotel guesses were very loud. Haven’t been asked to lower the voices . I do understand kids are allowed to downstairs jacuzzi’s part , but you can’t relax with screams and crying kids . Loved the ice room , saunas etc , but with noises coming from downstairs we couldn’t relax and had to leave . Second limitation in the hotel is lack of taxis next to hotel , or private hotel cars.

Second time visiting Melia, they had made some changes that were not so good, SPA was closed at 19:00 PM and Merkado restaurant was made from 10€ per person to 25€ per person. Although its a good hotel the food is disappointing

the hotel is good, but certainly needs lot of improvement. I personally didnt feel comfortable with the bed, you have to be careful at the spa, the hammam is not included and the cleaning lady took us out from there like we were robbers! totally unpolite for a 5 stars hotel!

I liked everything about the property

I visited this hotel for my partners birthday. The hotel arranged decorations, cake and champagne in the room upon our arrival. We also received a complimentary upgrade which was nice. The staff at reception and at the spa were friendly and helpful. The grounds of the hotel were absolutely beautiful and I look forward to visiting again.

The service needs a major improvement. While staff was kind and very helpful, the information about guests and their packages of stay somehow are not transferred to staff of different portions of service. For example, we had a package that included snacks, and brunch which was confirmed at reception, but was questioned at the breakfast area. For the hotel of this level its essential that guests are not placed in a position where they need to explain what they paid for to every member of the staff within different services department. Its annoying and makes you feel as if you are asking for something you did not pay for. The same goes for the jacuzzi which was part of the package, but we again had to clarify with reception so that staff at pool would let us without extra payment. Then, the rooms should be cleaned daily without needing to ask for them to be cleaned.

The Melia hotel is beautifully made. Breakfast was very good, as well as amenities, like pool, jakuzzi, spa etc.

The facilities weren' t so good. The bar was closed at 21.30. The swimming pool ( jacuzi) was with cold water and sliding plates around . The swedish sauna wasn't hot at all. The area there was not hot...

Had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the elegant decor to the breathtaking sea view from my balcony, every detail was exquisite. However I wished they included the spa without extra charges 'cause the place was already expensive.

1. We have had issues with electricity on daily basis - I believe it was an issue with some kind of software malfunction. The staff had to fix our electricity on daily basis. They did and they were helpful. 2. Water in pools wasn't warm enough to be able to stay in the pool for prolonged period. it was more like swimming pool temperature (24-25C?) 3. Beach bar (part of resort) accepted Cash payments only. The rest of bars and restaurants were able to charge rooms or accpeted card payment. Why brings the cash to private beach in resort? 4. Staff was extremely polite and tried their best - however they were undertrained, service in bars (pool and beach) was rudiculously slow, waiting for the coke and coffe for 20 minutes??? Come on! (staff was always looking for some change due to cash payment only) 5. BIGGEST FAUX PAS EVER. We returned to our room and there was strager's luugage put in our room. You can imagine the shock whe you arrive in the room and there are suitcases and travel pillows next to the bed. Result of undertrained personell who put the suitcases in to wrong room.

The property is new and I believe it was its the first season. The location and landscape (beautiful pine trees everywhere) including property was excellent. The spa, the pools, the pool bar and enourmous clean sandy beach with umbrellas and beach beds with pleanty space and availability were the real treat for us. Spacious room with big bathroom with the bathtub and separate shower provided feeling of luxury. Overall it was great place to stay, although there were some glitches that shall not happen at 5* resort. All restaurants in resort provided "international cuisine" which wasn't bad but in the country like Albania the food shall be standing out, and it did not. Selection of food in "Mercado" buffet restaurant was nice and good but it did not reflect famous Albanian cuisine - we choosed to dine out in local small retaurants with proper local cuisine. Basically food in retaurants was mild...

There was some confusion with wristbands and what that entitles you to for the various levels of board basis. We raised it as an issue and all resolved in a very appeasing manner.

We booked The Level, which really is worth the extra and makes the holiday that little extra special. The staff were great, particularly within the Level only areas. Jonida was excellent, incredibly helpful in anything that was needed, and always with a friendly smile. Some other guests had some issues on arrival at breakfast, and Jonida dealt with the matters quickly and kindly, calling the appropriate managers to support in resolving those that weren't within her control. We travelled with our 2yr old and each morning she would ensure a high chair was available for us and on leaving she asked colleagues to give us a takeaway box for some snacks for our son on the journey home. Nothing was too much trouble, and Jonida is an absolute credit to the team. We rebooked to return. Rooms are a great size and still OK with a cot. It's a little tighter than we'd like but bigger than most rooms of this cost.

I would like to write a big review with recommendations like a guest and a hotel employee. Because the hotel is not bad and there are some things which should be solved before we can say "The hotel is excellent". But unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have any form for review. So we will leave our review here. At first. We did a non-refundable reservation. That's mean, that the guest should provide his credit card, and the card can be charged any time before arriving. We came on Saturday around 18:00. At reception we have been told that we haven't paid our reservations yet.  The hotel can not allow us to check in. And the most funniest thing - they can not charge my provided credit card now, because there is nobody from the reservation department.  Whole situationis strange. Let's imagine that this reservation was for someone else. For my top manager or my parents.  Just imagine how stressful that will be for them, if they are sure that everything is paid already. In this case, the hotel should charge a card as soon as possible after receiving a reservation or do pre-authorisation. And if the card doesn't work , ask the guest to provide a new one, and if there is no new valid card provided , cancel the reservation. Next strange thing - we should pay just for 1 night to check in.  Again, for the hotel was enough to let us stay for 7 days with just one night paid. In this case, the hotel takes a rist to lose 6 nights payment. Rooms. Everything looks great. All the stuff is new and expensive.  But cleaning.... Can be better. Pay attention to all glasses in the room, mirrors. Please, screw bathtubs to the floor. Cosmetic things are standing on the floor.  Strange. How to use it? And the housekeeping lady should know that if cosmetics are gone, she needs to provide new. Not just put empty bottles nicely together on the floor. The safety cord (in the bathroom) must be in good working order. In our room, it was tied at the top.

The hotel is totally new. There is one kids' club. There are few bars. They are using a top alcohol. Good swimming pool. And also they have a kids' swimming pool. The hotel helped us with airport transfer. And it was really cheap. Live music every evening was amazing.

1. The food - compared to same price level hotels in Croatia and Montenegro this is bellow average. You get a few vouchers for ala carte restaurants but the are really booked so it’s possible you don’t get a place. We did not get it. Drinks are limited for all inclusive. 2. The beach - not ready and if you want to visit the seaside of Albania you should not go to this hotel, this is mainly for the pools. 3. The door sensor did not work so our air conditioning in the room was off for most days. 4. The air conditioning did not work in the gym when we where there. Overall this hotel has 5 stars only because of its facilities, the service is not at the 5 star level. Someone told us there is an app to book this hotel for a lower price so maybe research that instead of using booking. We left 2 days earlier and had to pay the full price, and you have to pay at check in.

The property looks really nice, the pools are specious and clean, the activities for children are good, the rooms are comfortable.
