How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The beds are sooooo comfortable! The best! The room is very clean, with a very good AC 👍 Close to bus stop where you go to Theth, Tirana. The owner on whatsapp is always friendly, receptive and goes out of their way to always help you :) Self check in makes it very private and comfortable. The entrance was a little hard to get to- you go up the stairs and its next to the Dental Clinic. But no problem at all! :)

Very central location. Absolutely clean. Comfort beds. Good quality towels (maybe sound strange to say, but it is important not to be like scrubbing your skin :). Quite easy self check in and out.

Everything was great!
Propperty was in great condition cleaned with comfortable bed. Bathroom very nice and tidy. Host was wonderful and quick reaction if needed anything at all. Location perfect just couple minutes from main walking square. People in Shkoder are wonderful. Definitely recommend! Absolutely bargain for the service you get.

Modern, clean and comfortable apartment in the heart of Shkoder. Surrounded by places to eat and things to see and close to the meeting point for day tours. Easy self check-in process.

No negatives. We stayed one short night to catch an early bus/ferry and all went as planned.
As an aparthotel, we had an entry code and let ourselves in. Entry was very smooth and the host checked in via message to make sure everything was okay. Good location near the bus terminal, bus to Koman Lake ferry and local restaurants.

Can't really think of anything, sorry.
The place is brand new. The check-in was contactless, which made it very convenient for me. Contact through WhatsApp was swift and to the point. The location is ideal if you want to explore Theth and/or Valbona, since the tourist busses to and from those villages leave and return around the corner of ODA Aparthotel. Also: within a 5-minute walk you'll find yourself in the pedestrianized zone where there are very nice bars and restaurants, and a couple of supermarkets and bakeries. They offered me complimentary luggage storage for my 4-day trip to the Albanian Alps. I can warmly recommend this place.

Great central location - plenty of restaurant choices and a short walk to the main town. Also very close to bus station which was so handy for us!! The rooms were big and comfortable, and check in was flexible and easy! We stored our bags so we could hike in Theth which was such a convenience. The host was extremely accommodating and very responsive!

Noisy cockerel outside wakes you up in the morning! A bigger bin in the room would be handy.

Perfect location, really close to the bus stops for Theth and Tirana. Nairda was amazing throughout our trip, she provided clear instructions on how to access the room and was quick to respond to our questions. She also arranged for our suitcase to be stored whilst we went to Valbona and Theth for a couple of days. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Great value for money!!

We had a great time at ODA aparthotel. The hotel is perfectly located with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The room was very clean and spacious. The communication with the owner was excellent and she provided us with great recommendations for restaurants in town.

Excellent location that is close to bus terminals and the city center. The host is, just like all other reciews say, great, made the check-in very easy and helped with information and arrangements even after I checked out. The room I had was super comfortable.

We stayed here for 1 night and would do it again. It was a clean room and air-conditioned. We liked the self check-in so we could go in and out without disturbing anyone. Clean and spacious corridor too!
