The first room they gave us, was adjoining with another so we could hear the people next to us. They had a baby who cried through out the night, we asked to move rooms, but were told we would have to pay for an upgrade. Ruined our entire first day/night untill we moved rooms.

The room was lovely, very comfortable bed . We got the all inclusive option, so enjoyed cocktails by the pool through out the day Lots of options of the food 👍

The hotel doesnt offer many things to do but they say next year it will get bigger and there will be spa, sport center etc. The final thing is i hate the band singing last night. They didnt even perform. The singer was not in the mood. Im very sad that hotel paid them for nothing.

Location is good. Not in the heart of the city but you can take a bus in front of the hotel or taxi. Atmosphere is relaxing that you can hear the birds sing. Beach is close to the buildings. Breakfast was good enough. There were a lot to choose. Every night there is live performance at the garden. Its a good way to have fun. Receptionist Fatima is my favorite person. She is a very kind, smiling person. We will be back next summer

No litter bin in the room so you had to collect your garbage in the bathroom. Shower was leaking so it was easy to make a little pond during the bath time. It took to be a bodybuilder to open the balcony door. Citarella Restaurant had nothing to do with italian food.

Food was not so varied but good quality overall. Location was perfect with direct access to the beach. Rooms were new and stylish and the bed was extremely comfy. Staff was mostly nice and helpful. Props to Albano the animator and to Nikka the receptionist who were our favourite.

The buffet food was eh (but Breeza food was wonderful!), and the power briefly went out a couple of times. The second pool advertised was for an extra fee. Just be sure to research carefully!

We loved the pool, beach access, comfortable room, and amazing AC. The staff was very helpful. It’s the perfect place for adults and families!

This hotel was still under construction when we came, and it probably will be for a while. They should have informed about that, because the beach bars were closed and it was some noice. It didn´t bother us, but I know it bothered other guests. We asked for a late check out because of it, and got it. So we are all happy and will come back. The hotel is situated outside the city, so there are limited other restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. But the whole area is being build, so that too will probably change in very little time.

This is an amazing hotel, and the staff is so nice! They helped us book a car for sightseeing, that was brought to the hotel. There are several pools, and activities to join in on. And the restaurants are usually open when you need a snack or meal. The breakfast was nice, and we really enjoyed sitting outside when eating. The area surrounding the hotel is amazing! It´s in the middle of a tropical garden. Also Durres is a really nice place!

Some areas of the restaurant and one of the hotel buildings don’t have stroller’s accessibility, but there are only few stairs to walk up, so it’s not a big deal. At the buffet restaurant food was good, but there is some room for improvement in food display and restaurant table setups as they were very plain.

The staff is nice and polite. Rooms are fine. The beach is clean and good for children to play on the sand. The sunsets by the beach are the best. The hotel pool is very nice and the kid’s pool is perfect. (The other pool, Tropical’s pool is louder and noisy for who wants to relax) Best part is the kids club and the staff working there is amazing.

the food was just okay. there is no gym facility and honestly the grounds are not as pictures here in booking.com. it is still being renovated/refurbished so there are no beach walkways, bungalow, umbrellas etc as pictured at all which was a bit disappointing as I was going off the pictures I saw and the reviews when I booked.

There wasn’t much exciting around the resort, so we stayed inside the grounds during the whole stay

My two little daughters and I were privileged to stay at Sol Tropikal in its opening weeks. We were so happy. The grounds are beautiful, there are two big pools, white sandy beach and delicious food. All members of staff are full of enthusiasm and are genuinely kind and willing to make your stay the best. My two daughters spent many hours in care of Susie and Caroline at the kids club, it had such a loving family feel about it. I hope we will come and stay here again and see how this resort blossoms over the years.

Although I don’t think that they made in purpose, they gave us the wrong information for the bus station, which made us go to the city center (North bus station), without necessity, instead of the one just in front of the hotel (South bus station).

Upon checking into our room we found it to smell of stale cigarette smoke. As I went to open the curtains and door to let down fresh air in the curtain broke. There was also a broken reading light which would not turn off - this would have been extremely annoying if we had to use the room and try to sleep. This in itself was not a problem, as I thought it would be a simple resolution to go to reception and request a new room. My friend and I went to reception to report the issues with the room at 5.15pm. A male member of staff greeted us and asked if he could helped and we explained the smell in the room and broken curtain and politely asked if we could change rooms. First he didn’t apologise or acknowledge either of these issues at all he said he would have someone come and fix the curtain, we said that really wasn’t the problem it was the terrible cigarette smell and said as non smokers we were really put off by the smell and wouldn’t be able to sleep in it. He then proceeded to call us “weird” for not smoking, laughed and walked off. We were quite put out by this, when he returned a few minutes later he said he would have housekeeping come and spray air freshener in the room. We said no we really would like a new clean room as we had already tried opening the doors etc to let fresh air in. We were then told we would have to wait 20 mins for the Front of House Manager. After 30 mins wait I asked why we had to wait and if another staff member could allocate us a new room but they said no we had to wait for the FOH Manager. The manager arrived after 40 minutes of waiting around. She didn’t acknowledge or apologise to use but we were finally allocated a new room. The new room was lovely and clean and did not smell and later on a staff member did bring us a complimentary bottle of wine to apologise. However the whole interaction in dealing with the complaint was very strange and badly managed.

1. The area near the pool and the entrance to the pool is slippery, and problem is not in the material of the floor, it just seems fatty, or I don’t know.. I fell while entering the pool, and my baby fell while walking between the pools. And I saw a lot of people had same issues… 2. My baby (1 year) found an incalculable amount of trash on the sand on the beach. Broken glass is the worst. Since he is small he explore everything and the beach (especially not close to the sea, but to the hotel, on the left side) turned out to be not the best environment. Mostly all sunbeds have missing plastic protective caps on the corners, and since they are metal, the baby, of course, cut himself. 3. The food is okay.. but I got poisoned on the second day, and since that moment felt really bed and cannot eat at all.. but I always found something for the baby, and he eats. The deserts bar looks nice. Also I was disappointed, that the waiters never suggested the help to bring the baby chair. So I had to walk around and search for the chair every time with the baby myself. 4. Since our room was in the corner of building, close to the restaurant, every evening we heard loud music and we didn’t like it. 5. I would really love to tell it while checkout, but no one asked.

Area for the kids, including the lady there, was amazingly nice and we liked it. The room had a really comfortable bed. The gift for my mom’s birthday, as I asked, they brought and she liked it. Wifi works good almost everywhere.
