How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Well appointed comfortable rooms and great fresh and tasty breakfast. We also had dinners at the restaurant and the food was great, fresh and tasty. Fantastic coffees as well. Friendly and very helpful staff. Highly recommend Villa Ester.

Nice hotel, cozy rooms and attention to small details. Staff is very polite and helpful. We needed to leave the hotel very early in the morning and they started breakfast that early to accommodate us. A must when in Korca!

Unfortunately the ground floor rooms near reception can from time to time be a bit noisy with staff and guests coming and going.
Couldn’t really fault Villa Ester. A beautifully presented small hotel with friendly staff and great facilities. Rooms were clean and comfortable with luxurious en-suites. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the town, a short walk from the town. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice.

Everything about Villa Ester was perfect. Staff at reception were super kind and friendly.Location perfect. Very clean and food at restaurant was perfect with live music.

Had an amazing stay at Villa Ester. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The level of cleanliness exceeded all expectations, everything was impeccably clean. The breakfast was a mix of delicious Albanian dishes and continental options, freshly prepared. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with the fantastic quality-price ratio. Would definitely recommend Villa Ester for a memorable stay!

Nothing for us.
Super friendly, polite and respectful staff. Boutique-style and incredibly clean feel of the whole accommodation. Lots of nice touches throughout the room (such as dressing gowns and slippers, rain shower, warm and comfortable beds - important to note as, during our stay in early October, Korce was 5 - 6 degrees cooler generally than somewhere like Tirana, Elbasan or Shkoder further north). Truly outstanding buffet style breakfast included in the price of the room rate. Excellent range of sweet/savoury options, freshly made omelette (on request) AND freshly squeezed orange juice. We ate twice in the restaurant (incorporated into the hotel and where you eat the breakfast). Meals were good and reasonably priced as well. We were served on both occasions by a very friendly and polite young waiter. Three of our family require a gluten-free diet and this was well catered for (also at breakfast time). Very good location - approximately 10 mins walk from the bazaar/main square and, importantly, approximately 20 mins walk to the main bus station (we managed this with our luggage relatively comfortably). Without exaggeration, this was not just the best stay of our trip around Albania, but up there as one of our most memorable stays across Europe when considering both quality AND value for money. Thank you all the staff at Villa Ester :-) BTW, we spent 2 nights in Korce (which we felt was about right for us on our trip) and it is definitely a place worth visiting on your travels around Albania if you can manage it - our favourite place on our holiday.

Fabulous small boutique hotel. We were surprised and impressed with the beautiful finishing touches everywhere. Everything was spotlessly clean, the hosts were friendly and helpful and a good breakfast was provided and parking is available. If you go to Korce, this is where you need to stay.

The only thing I didn't like was that we only had the one night here! This is the kind of accommodation option where you'd be quite happy, and comfortable, staying for a few days.
This is such a wonderful accommodation option near the center of town. Entry to the courtyard at reception gives you an indication of what is 'hidden' behind the interior doors - there are little nooks and crannies everywhere with chairs and tables that invite you to sit down and relax for a while. The hallway, off which the rooms run, is spacious and beautifully furnished, as are the rooms themselves. There was a lot of wardrobe space so that you could unpack and not have to live out of your suitcase, which is always nice. Breakfast is taken in the restaurant/bar next door, and is a great buffet affair, and the coffee is some of the best I've had in Albania. We were hoping to use the hotel bicycles, but they were all out when we arrived, so the receptionist organised for two bikes to be delivered to the hotel for us (they were there within 15min).

Even the upgraded room and bed were a little small. Damp and musty odour, not helped by a leaking shower compartment. Odd, noisy automatic air fresheners in the room.
Really kind and helpful staff. New building. Pretty central. Nice common terraces. Free room upgrade. Decent WiFi. Not expensive.
