Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ArmeniaThe breakfast area is small, and the manager there woke us up after 9 minutes and said that other people want to have breakfast, and I got very angry, but I didn't say anything and went out. But I regret that I didn't answer and didn't say that there are tables whose people came earlier than us and you have to tell them to leave the table first.
The reception people were very polite and whenever I visited, they stood up and then started talking. The waiters of the restaurant welcomed us politely, quietly and with a smile.

RussiaAbsolutely separated from any civilization. If you need pharmacy, store, restaurant… everything - then you need to take a taxi, because it’s impossible to walk anywhere (private areas and a highway without a sidewalk). No choice of food for breakfast. Really bad breakfast for such a price for stay. Beautiful restaurant on the hotel territory but only with European cuisine (no traditional Armenian food except a couple variants of fish). No swimming pool heating (the lake is cold, and the wind/weather is often cold too, so the warm swimming pool would save the situation for guests). We asked before our stay if it would be possible to pay by card and received the absolute positive answer. In fact it wasn’t possible at all.. The staff explained that it’s a rather often situation with cards.. we had to travel to the city nearby to get the cash, it was stressful and inconvenient for us.
Beautiful location near the lake. Best variant to feel the unity with nature. Comfortable houses.

RussiaWe’ve been in the hotel for 3 nights during our stay hotel staff have never got out the trash, not renewed the water, not brung new bath accessories. In 4 star hotel should be tea, coffee and a kettle in the room, but these things were missing here.
Location is great. Apartment is big.

United StatesThe facility is quite run down. The carpet is very old, and the sink in the bathroom had a very foul smell. Some of the towels had holes in them. Also, there is not a good place to swim in the lake. There are large rocks in the water next to the private beach and the swimming area has quite a bit of seagrass growing all around. The food was ok. I think some of the fruits and veggies were cut the night before and didn't look very fresh.
Great location! Beautiful views and a private access to the lake. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

AustriaRooms: The pillows covers were torn No trash basket in the room. There is only a small one in the bathroom. Room cleaning is only after you ask for it. You need to hand over the key for the room service. No water kettle provided(need to ask for it) No coffee or tea bags The light switch for the room is only near the bed. Breakfast: Very average Look for places in the town. They will definitely offer more or less the same facilities except for the view at much lower prices. The taxis are cheap to travel between the town and the lake on yandex(max 2$)
Location is close to Lake sevan and the view is nice from the Port. The staff is also very friendly.

RussiaWhat I didn’t like about our stay is the drinking man by the pool parting all night long and jumping in the pool until sunrise. And that the night guard ( or was there a guard at all?) didn’t do anything about it. It was so wrong on many levels, starting from the safety of those who were drinking and jumping, ending with the comfort of other guest including my family.

United KingdomThe room was not particularly clean (long pieces of hair in towels), the facilities were very modest for a 4 star property and the complementary water was opened and half drunk by someone. Although the hotel is located in an absolutely stunning location by Lake Sevan it has no direct beach access - only a useless pier which was not even accessible during our stay, so you have to leave premises to go bathe. There is also a pool that was somewhat dirty when we were there. No problem that the location is far away and not very walkable from elsewhere, this is something you have to be aware of as a guest. However it is incredibly inconvenient if you can’t drink the tap water while there is no shop on site and the water they provide you with has already been half drunk by someone else. Similarly you can’t get any coffee there - only possible to have powdered coffee during breakfast with no machine in the restaurant. Shame about the wasted potential as the hotel really could be much better with easy fixes/different management.
Good: scenic view, breakfast was included and staff were nice

Armeniathe breakfast was poor, room service non existent. In one of the bedrooms lights and TV didn't work. Small bathroom only on first floor. No tea or coffee in the room, no kittle. This hotel is apparently overrated and overpriced, nothing reminds you about 4 stars that it got. The restaurant was nice but the food is expensive , local fish is OK , European dishes are plain bad and very expencive.
Pool was great, location and view are fantastic. There were 2 bedrooms in the suite and a siting area, 2 balconies- more than we needed. We were allowed late check out for free, which was very nice !

Breakfast was delicious and the hotel territory was nice. It is located right on the beach and you can enjoy the best view on the lake right from there.
