How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Super nice hostel, only 2 rooms with a nice living room and a kitchen. I felt like home. It was really calm and staff is really cool and caring. Best volunteer ever, Free washing machine was a plus ! I could store my bike in the living room, be ready to carry it at the last floor BUT it is worth it.

A lot of stairs on the way up - but a great way to exercise!
The staff were great, a mix of friendly and respektfull! They helped us check in early, and leave our bags until after check-out. The hostel is a Nice place to meet fellow travelers, and the cosy sofa makes for a great conversation area!

Not a big deal but the flight of stairs to go up. The first time I came with a backpack so I had to stop and breathe at some point
The host (who was also a guest) and the facilities, it had a washing machine free of use and happy to be able to wash my clothes for free! And the location is good!

All is perfect. Maybe just could put curtains on the beds. But the place is flawless.
Everything is amazing. Even there’s a water buzz in the toilet.

It's on the 4th floor and if you have big luggage, it can be a bit difficult to carry. However, the staff assisted us with it, so it was okay.
The check-in was very smooth, the staff was amazing and they had all the amenities from the washing machine to a full kitchen setup and common area. It's a very central location and you will find everything nearby, even a 24/7 market. So it was very easy to manage.

Not really a dislike, but it felt more like an apt where roommates who have different things going on stay together, or like people there were staying more longer term so not a social atmosphere. That was fine by me as I wanted some chill/alone time, but just a thing to note.
Cozy, free laundry, and clean big bathrooms. Pretty comfy beds too!

Amazing hostel, super clean dorm room and bathrooms, equipped kitchen, nice common space, and more than anything, amazing help and recommendations on things to do/see/eat around Yerevan and Armenia at large. No matter how long you’re staying, they should help you out! I had a bit over 3 weeks in Armenia and no plan, Vahag helped me figure out where to go and what to do, suuuuuuuuper helpful, can’t recommend enough! Also free laundry washing!

It's a very cozy house with just one room (8 beds). There are two very clean bathroom and a comfortable common room, with a kitchen and all the necessary to cook or make a coffee/ tea. They even have a free washing machine. The beds are really comfortable and there's a big locker for your suitcase. The staff is also great and helpful. The position is the best: right in the center. The bus from the airport stops right in front of the building. It's located in a very safe area, which is important to me as a solo woman. I'd definitely come back!

All recommendations! The Best hostel I've stayed in. Hosts are great, place is super clean, location is basically in city center. Everything is included free of charge, you have washing machine, towels, shampoo, everything in the kitchen... Couldn't ask for better value for money

Every time climb 5 floors... they need to look for alternative options. This is the only minus point.

The entrance is in a dark street (althought Yerevan seems to be very safe), and is the last floor without elevator.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed!! Extremely clean and people very helpful.
