Location's quite far from everything but you have some small shops and restaurants 10-15min walk away.

As everyone says, the breakfast really is great. The garden area is also very tranquil and nice to hang out in.

The rooms were pretty basic and the sheets had some stains on them, they were clean though. These small things all didnt matter cause the rest of the hostel was too good.

Had an amazing experience. We joined the asado on a tuesday night, the food that Santiago prepared was so good! We had such a fun time with the other people in the hostel and the staff. A true Argentinian experience. The kitchen was also well stocked with all the stuff you need. The bathroom was quite new and the shower was nice.

Location is the only bad aspect (far from laundry, supermarkets, city center) though close to bus stops and the lake

The main problem we felt was consistency :( . The payment was confusing to say the least. Different answers from different volunteers (same with other Bonita Lake House). The charge included VAT 21% unless you mention it…and insist on Booking.com terms. We insisted on booking.com terms so weren’t charged 21%, but we totally understand some comments left by other guests who were charged. There were problems at this hostel paying by card, so we paid through the other hostel Bonita Lake House down the road. This hostel has much better connectivity than Bonita Lake house, but I still wouldn't recommend for someone working remotely. Too much of a risk.. Don’t rely on co-working space down the road either. When area faces outage in will include this co-working space. Downtown was okay though during outage.

We stayed for almost a full month in this area, Playa Bonita. Truly incredible location for views of the lake. Lots of activities in the area, hiking, kayak rentals, snow sports etc. We stayed for 1 week in this hostel and a few weeks at another not far away (Bonita Lake House hostel, same owner heads up ;) ) The place is run by volunteers. They are all friendly. The beds were comfy and hot water for showers. Well equipped kitchen, and home made bread for breakfast which made this hostel quite unique :D Bus stop down the road convenient for going to other spots. Easy to reach Playa Bonita from Downtown, bus #20. Best part no question were the dogs, Coco and Borota, the dogs following guests between both hostels. And the cat ... whose name I forget, staying at Alaska Patagonia. Super cute!!!! They will follow you to the beach, they will follow you anywhere :p . Coco loves to play catch :D

Such a fun atmosphere. Staff/Owners were super nice and threw an "asado". You can tell all the beds and pillows were new and comfortable. Shower was hot and amazing pressure. A super cozy and social vibe. I also like that it's outside of the city center. Right by Playa Bonita, a great beach.

Good place with very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast consists homemade food and the bedrooms are cool and spacious. Shower was a dream.

There was no staff at reception to meet us when we arrived, we just got sent a WhatsApp message and had to walk through the social area and find the room ourselves. They had let the previous travellers leave their bags in the lockers so we weren't able to use them for the first night which we thought was strange and unfair. The bathroom door doesn't lock. Location is quite far away from everything and no big supermarkets nearby. Staff don't respect the 11pm quiet time - we had to knock on the wall twice to make them turn the TV down because the room is right next to the social space (some rooms are downstairs so this may not be a problem).

The beds are super comfortable, breakfast is basic but nice and includes fresh bread, shower is warm and powerful, good value for money if you pay in cash. It's okay for a night or two but we probably wouldn't return.

For a longer stay in Bariloche, or if you have a bike, I’d recommend the area. However for just a couple of days, I found that it was pretty inconvenient to be on the other side from the main town, as you have to bus about 25 mins to the main centre. This hostel is in more of a suburbs area!

The kitchen and living room areas are really nice social spots, and the bedrooms are comfy. The bathroom doors don’t lock and stay slightly ajar which is a little awkward for shared rooms. The staff are really great, and make delicious bread for breakfast!
