Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PolandIn the room apart from a double bed there's a bunk bed so it's cramped and makes it difficult to move around. The bathroom is also quite small. During the shower it turns out that there is a problem with drainage and water doesn't flow properly.
Cactus hostel is nice and atmospheric, decorated in a local style. There is a nice patio with cactuses, of course. The room is clean and very nice, however, a bit too small for four people. They serve breakfast here which is too sweet for me. The staff is nice and helpful and the location good.

Canadadue to easter weekend, this is the only place we can book for family of 3. The room has one queen bed and bunk bed. The room is very small. The sitting area for breakfast and for people to hung out has very poor lighting. The breakfast was very simple. May be this is how local people lives. I would not say it is something I didn't like, but something can be improved.
The host was warm and nice. it has a nice backyard built with local clay color which is very cool. It has nice scenery surrounding it.

We enjoyed the outside patio area, reception lady was very friendly even with our language barrier, and location was only a few minutes walk into town which was perfect. Breakfast was a relaxed affair and adequate.

United KingdomThe place offers good value for what it provides, but we would like to see a bit more for breakfast than some cookies, cake and dry (Melba) toast. Location pinpoint is not correct on booking.com
A cosy and clean double room with a bit more character than the usual, comfortable with good hot water and workable WiFi. The free tea and coffee in the hotel reception area is a nice touch, and the receptionist is friendly. Location is good.

Argentina1. The room was advertised as a triple room: 1 double bed and a single bed. When we got there, there were only 3 individual beds. The lady and the hostel told us this is what we rented and If we didn't like it we could leave. 2. We got there at 2... The room wasn't even cleaned. At 2! 3. No hot water. I showered with cold water. 4. The showered doesn't drain! I was showering with water above my ankles!!! 5. Toilets were so so dirty. 6. The door didn't close unless you lock it. 7. The toilets were dirty. 8. They advertise a free parking. The parking is just the street... 9. To top it up, the hostel has a huge signed named another name. So we couldn't find it. Not even the people from the town were able to. We asked to the police helping there and no one knew! A simple message should have been enough! All in all, I feel I wasted my money
