Reception was only available from 9 am-5 pm. I arrived after 7pm so it felt a bit odd not to have human contact. Nevertheless, the staff was very clear with the instruction about how to get in and I had no issues whatsoever.

It was exactly what you see in the pictures. Decoration was very nice and peaceful. Confortable bed and shower. Staff explained everything very clear via Whatsapp.

The only complaint we could make is one that everyone has already mentioned in that church bells go off every 15mins and there is no soundproofing on the windows. Obviously the building owners can't do anything about the church but could definitely look into ways to reduce the noise in the rooms. We were aware of this issue when booking however so it didn't have a major impact on our stay.

Such a convenient location in town in a beautifully restored building and exceptionally well priced for 2 adjoining rooms for our group of 4, especially as we were allowed to pay in pesos! The rooms were tastefully decorated with plenty of room to store everything and we loved the high ceilings and historic details and the balcony leading off our room. The bathroom was well fit out also and the showers gave plenty of hot water with good pressure. Our hosts also arranged everything smoothly for after hours check in and gave us clear instructions on how to enter the building, collect our room keys and access our rooms. Their were plenty of eateries nearby and we had the ability to change money at a restobar in the mall area in the morning. All in all a wonderful stay!

There was no fridge on the premises. My room had no windows. But the place is so beautiful, that it was worth it.

If you are a light sleeper, the big-ben replica bells ringing every 15 mins may disturb you. (The bell tower is on the nearby Museum of Democracy - well worth visiting.)

There was no reception from 2pm on our check in day. This keys were left in a public area for us to collect. We were concerned thereafter regarding the security of the hotel & rooms as anyone who knew where the keys were could have access. A lock box would be better & more secure. The following day we were woken up at 9am by the owner saying there was a gas leak & we had to relocate to their other hotel. There was no evidence of a gas leak at the time & no one was there for maintenance. We were told as long as we left by 11am it was ok.. which did not make sense to us given the initial urgency. Despite the complete inconvenience of moving hotels, they did not say sorry or offer us a discount until we pushed for this. When we got to the other hotel the room was sub standard. There was stains on the sheets & it smelt of smoke. We asked for a refund at this point, and left to stay somewhere else.

The room at Casa Allegra Art Suites is clean, airy & comfortable.

We didn’t actually end up staying at Hotel Allegra as there was an issue with the water. Unfortunately nothing was communicated to us ahead of time so we turned up at the hotel door to find it closed. It took a few hours for our messages on WhatsApp to get a response too while we waited in a nearby cafe. No problem with the situation just would have really expected to have been actively contacted rather than us having to find out ourselves.

The property we were referred to was nearby and very modern.
