How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Limited options in breakfast. Could have cleaned the room more often. I stayed four nights and no cleaning was done during the period.

Although it’s an old building it’s kept very well, the rooms are modest but comfortable and with AC.
Exceptional customer service. Rocio and Norma at the reception desk were extremely welcoming and helpful. The lady preparing breakfast was awesome. The property is in a great location, a couple of blocks away of the main square and the Basilica.

Nothing to say as everything was good for me.
The hotel was in a temporary location during my stay, it was next door than the original hotel as I believe this was getting refurbishment. However this was fine and I really enjoyed my stay, the staff so was so welcoming to me, any issues I had were quickly resolved. They were extremely helpful with tourist tips and where to change my money as well. If I come back I will return to this Hotel.

the wifi is weak in the more outside room area.
A colonial hotel in centro, 2 mins walk to Centro plaza which can found many restaurants and cafe, room are large and comfortable, breakfast is huge and delicious, the host and the staff are both nice and very helpful, highly recommended.

I am gluten free and there was very little for my needs. I bought some rice crackers and had these for breakfast. There were srambled eggs but we were getting tired of them as virtually every hotel that included breakfast had them.
The location was perfect. We were 2 blocks from the main square. The staff were very friendly and accomodated our request for an early breakfast when we had early tours.

Great location. A few minutes walk from the main plaza with several bars, cafes and restaurants. All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and shower was good. Basic breakfast starts at 6:00 which scrambled eggs on offer after 07:00. It was about a 20 minute walk from the bus station. I would stay here again.

Ask not to be put in the "new" rooms, which are miniature. Go for the old part of the property.
My favourite hotel in Salta since 2017. Always stay there when Im in town. Colonial-type of property, kind staff, car park next door, good breskfast. A block away from the main square.

The AC of one of the rooms did not work.
It was really clean and well located. The breakfast was good and also liked the fact they had water dispenser in the lobby.

Bang smack in the middle of Salta, two blocks from the main plaza 9th July this hotel has huge rooms on the ground floor, facing away from the street so nice and quiet and dark rooms. Large bathroom and good air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious with eggs cooked to liking and tons of drinks and sweet bakery items. The free drinking water fountain was a bonus. Plenary of asado restaurants nearby so you don’t have to venture far. Would recommend staying here.

This is a simple basic hotel, the window is facing the inner courtyard so we kept the curtain closed all the time. Need some updates.
The staff is helpful and the location is very convenience. Simple but good breakfast.

Excelent location in the heart of Salta ... easy access to the Plaza, shops, and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and check in was easy. Lots of breakfast choices.

Charming hotel in historic Salta centre. Many restaurants closeby. Friendly staff and very good value for money. Ask for a room in the courtyard at the back.
