How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was excelent. Very rich, clean, all is tidy. The staff was very efficient to fill up the finished foods. They were very helpful and did their job with smiling face. The breakfast area was comfortable and lively.

It was a little way out of town but very close to the bus station so I didn't have to carry my luggage too far.

Everything was fine
Very cosy and clean hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. Especially Adriana helped me a lot. Close to the downtown just 10 minutes walking.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! One woman in particular, which I cannot remember her name, was so helpful in giving us advice on getting around, exchanging money, and just the best ways to do things. The hotel was clean, the rooms were a great size, and breakfast was nice.

Con: very stuffy because no air conditioner and no fan. We slept with the window open in March. If you come during summer, I imagine it would be very uncomfortable because bugs can fly into the room when you open the window (no mesh screen). Far from the main street and restaurants.
Pro: new, clean hotel room and facilities. Best shower ever. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Very close to bus station for El Chalten transfer and Perito Moreno Glacier bus.

No basic water bottle, coffee/tea in room. No AC. And that if you have an early or late flight, you have to arrange as there’s no 24/7 reception. We were lucky a staff from breakfast showed up to work early to let us in the lobby area. All doors are locked. Breakfast was below basic. We don’t mind the walk which is a couple miles to city center , But a few steps to the Bus station.
It was a very new and clean place, but very very basic to the minimum. The staff specially “ Adreana” was awesome in checking us in and helping us with recommendations and any help we needed.

I like to sleep in a cold room and the room was a little warm.
This was a new property with modern facilities. The staff was so kind and helpful. They even sent our laundry out for a small fee. You could easily walk to the bus station or downtown to shop or have dinner.

Nothing major. It would be great if there was a restaurant inside here as there aren't many food options that are walkable.
The staff were amazing and this was one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed it in South America. Rooms are spacious with great storage and the shower was excellent (great temperature and pressure)

Location is not so close to city center but for us it was ideal as it was close to bus terminal and we only wanted to be in Calafate for Perito Moreno visit

Location is not walkable to anything, but is a few minutes drive.
Perfect hotel if you need some modern amenities after not having them for a few days. Comfortable bed and great shower/water pressure. Super fast internet as well. I was getting 100Mbs in my room.

Hotel located a block from Bus Depot and Taxi stand. Traveling in and out of Calafate or within Calafate without a rental car was easy. I missed my flight to Calafate and the hotel contacted me and asked if I was coming and asked if they could help in any way. Because I missed my flight, I almost had to pass on glacier trekking, hotel staff was gracious to coordinate this trip despite not making it on time. Also staff gave us excellent recommendations on places to eat.
