How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Realised that I paid 20% more by going through booking. It is worth booking directly with the hostel
Staff was nice and helpful. Facilities are basic but functional, cute hostel. Everything is nearby in Purmamarca. Overall, enjoyed the stay at Giramundo's hostel

Bathrooms are tiny. Seats are uncomfortable. Spotty wifi.

Staff were ok, not all of them were super nice. They organize common dinners that I found quite pricy so didn't participate.
Room was nice and spacious with good warm blankets. The location is good. The backyard is nice and sociable.

No locks on bathroom or toilet doors.
Great location and friendly, helpful staff and basic breakfast included. I could store my luggage there when I went for an overnight trip. Good shower pressure with hot water. Dorm has locker for valuables.

chilled hostel in purmamarca the breakfast is good (I had other places where I only got 2 medialunas, here you get fruits as well) it has all you need and the beauty of this area is the landscape anyway

The wifi only worked sometimes and loud music from a nearby restaurant made it noisy at night.
The staff were great and the hostel was clean and comfortable. The location right next to the bus terminal was awesome. Breakfast was simple but had fruit options.

While the water was warm and showers were good, the toilet facilities weren't great.
Super close to the bus station and town, perfect for one nights stop over.

Facilities work in general but would be good if there are door locks in toilets and fix the loosen faucet.
Excellent location and friendly, helpful staff members. Well equipped kitchen!

Well, look, you are in a remote place far away from the main city of Jujuy, 2000m over the level of the sea sorrounded by massive mountains, so you gotta have to understand. - wifi wasn't working when I stayed over - some of the toilets weren't flushing right - the heater at the room wasn't working either but I was covered with loads of blankets provided. Hope this helps you all to enjoy this lovely place and improve. Best luck!!
The location is stunning lads, beautiful lands, can not denied that. The rooms are ok and staff member were friendly and always There to help.

-You have to walk downstairs and outside to go to the toilet. (Not great when it was raining or in the middle of the night) -Same with the female showers. -Only two toilets and one has a broken flush. (clearly been that way for a while as there is a sign) -Toilets DO NOT have locks on the door!!! -Not a friendly hostel. Especially if you don’t speak Spanish. Such an off and unwelcome vibe. (Both me and my partner felt this and he speaks Spanish) -The common areas were not shut down for quiet time until early hours of the morning. (We were told this would happen at 10pm and booking.com stays 11pm… neither time happened) You could here every single conversation from our bedroom… which was directly above the common area. Yet at 11pm the staff and guests started PUMPING loud music on a speaker in the main area. (Which was meant to be on quiet hours) -The pillows were so thin even 3 of them did not make up a normal pillow thickness. -Sheets were awful and kept coming off the mattress during the night. To be honest in the top 3 of worst places I have stayed and I’ve back packed around the world twice. Staying in something like 50+ hostels. We set our alarm early just to get out of there as soon as we could.
It was clean. The showers were hot. The location was great.

I found this place pretty poor, lots of stuff was broken like taps and showers etc, weird vibe in the place too.

the bathroom was downstairs and the stairs might be a bit steep
was near to bus terminal, the room (4 pple) was big and they have nice areas to hang out there is even a small terrace from where you can see the 7 colour mountain
