As it is glamping, be aware that the bathroom is a separate building so if it rains you need to walk a few metres there in the rain :)

A beautiful property - looked fairly new and had lots of plants and flowers. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Sylvia the owner was very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay again.

This facility is the perfect base for exploring this wonderful region in the provinces of Jujuy and Salta. The attractions and villages on Route 9 in particular can be easily explored from here. The complex was built with great attention to detail and style. As an architect, I was immediately struck by the clever, functional and climate-friendly planning and construction. The background to the creation of the complex is very interesting and inspiring. In my 5 weeks in Argentina, I have never experienced such care for the rooms and for the service of the guests. The hosts are very warm and communicative. The morning meal prepares you perfectly for the adventures ahead. The location is unbeatable. The parking spaces are generous and secure. Even though we have a separate room, the neighbor is essentially super close to you with a plywood separating each room which means you can easily ear

The shared bathrooms and showers nicely organized and clean, the breakfast area also has a good layout, good parking space, breakfast with fruits (big plus and rare)

Internet was not working at all, we needed to drive to city to use it.

We had a pleasant stay at El Obrador. It is an original site with cabins and garden a short walking distance from the center of Tilcara. Cabin room was new and well organised, bed was comfortable, everything was clean. Bathroom were on the other side of the garden in another cabin together with toilets.

Everything OK, just a small “warning”: all units are stand-alone and offer basic but sufficient (sleeping) comfort. As we were the only residents all was quiet, but we can imagine when all units are booked including the new-built group acco, that there will be more (!?) noise to endure also because of the basic construction of the units.

Quiet location, yet close to all excitement. Very friendly and hospitable staff.

The only thing that would’ve made this place better is if I had been able to stay longer.

I could not recommend this site more. The staff were incredible. For breakfast, there was the traditional bread, butter, and jelly; coffee (that was yummy);an amazing plate of fruit; and even some eggs. The bathrooms were an easy walk away from our lodge/cabin…you just followed the path, and they were cleaner and nicer than any hostel/shared bathrooms I’ve ever seen. The location was incredibly peaceful. I felt like we were all alone in the mountains. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

It was a very cold night and the shower building was open, so aBit cold and not ideal. And walking through the rain to the toilet. This is camping life though

Very clean and amazing service. I am a celiac (can't eat gluten) and in Argentina this has been tough. I eventually stopped messaging it and just brought my own breakfast. However this lady went out of her way to bring me a gluten free breakfast. Its quite new and cosy, good location

Portions at the breakfast containing different ingredients were very minimal (Breakfast for two looked more like breakfast for half a person). No bidet facilities in the common bathroom.

Quiet location within walking distance of the center of town. Organic garden with herbs and vegetables. Simple but adequately designed cabins. Martin at reception spoke English and was very helpful.

The ‘room’ was actually a 5 by 10 foot cell made of chipboard with a single small window…rather like you might find in a prison. I could hear everything going on in both adjacent units, including loud snoring all night long. Paid $40 to stay here during Carnival….$5 would have been more realistic - never again

Kitchen wasn't ready for use though owner let us cook anyway, but it's important to clarify that. Rooms don't have private bathrooms so wouldn't recommend staying in the winter as you have to go to another building close to reception and it's very cold.

Breakfast didn't have vegan options besides fruit, though the owner bought oat specially to add something more valuable to breakfast.
