We were shocked at checkout by the price of snacks in the room… 6,000 pesos each for a small package of nuts and a small can of Pringles potato chips.

The room was very nice, but it was a little too cool to use the pool, though we did enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail at the pool patio. Dinner at their restaurant was the best one we’d had for a while during our travels. Also nice lounge spaces (see “lobby” photo), though we didn’t have time to utilize them.

The only negative point is that there is no air conditioning. This is to be expected as it is an historical building and AC units would not be in keeping. Despite a ceiling fan, it does make sleeping rather uncomfortable though.

This is a lovely converted hacienda in a quiet village. We were the only people staying but were still offered a full evening menu. The room was large and there was a good pool.

Elegant conversion of the last Spanish governor’s house. It’s quite understated and minimalist for a boutique hotel which makes a nice change from the over the top trimmings such places often suffer from. Food, winelist and service are excellent. the property is a delight, on arrival and from the outside it does not look impressive, but as soon as you step into the enclosure, it is an oasis of peace and comfort in a quaint way.

The location of this place is amazing. You are in a small village, surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature. The hacienda have their own garden, I woke up with the sun. It is absolutly stunning.

It would have been great if they provided bottled water at a more reasonable price. It was 3X the cost from the store. The wifi did not extend to our room. We had to use it in the courtyard. This was ok but they should warn of that.

The ambience was fabulous. Like stepping back in time. The breakfast was fine, the staff courteous, the location beautiful.

Third time I visit this truly magic place! The hacienda and church across the square, the facilities, the staff are all amazing. Perfect place to while away and relax (and visit stunning vineyards and nature). Looking forward to my return!

The place is in a town that has little to offer except visit to bodegas Colome and a Vicuna farm . Its a pitty a great place in a non attracive town

The building is beautiful and you get a special experience staying in such a historic and well maintained place in a quiet town surrounded by mountains.The bedroom was spacious with high cielings, well ventilated, warm at night and good lighting. The bathroom well equipped with towels and toilettries, as well as a combined bathtub and shower. The beds are comfortable and also with a warm duvet for the colder nights. There is a huge pepper tree in one of the courtyards and while we had our breakfast outside a humming bird was feeding from some of the flowers. It was perfect. The breakfast was a selection of all sorts of traditional cakes, fruits, breads, jam, cereals ham and cheese - a good start to the day. We also had dinner there and the restaurant has an open fire that gives a cosy atmosphere. We especially enjoyed desert - a lemon and chocolate tart. 😋

It is an old mystic comfortable property to enjoy. Excellent restaurant! Stunning patio with an gorgeous old tree that speaks its soul. This hotel is the heart of a beautiful small town!
