This is not a place for people who have a strong ick response. Some of the bathrooms are truly falling apart, it can be really hot during summer heatwaves, and the kitchen is usually an utter mess (but this is due to the large number of guests and the inevitable people who don't take into account that they're sharing the space and equipment with lots of other people... I saw the kitchen right after one of the staff/volunteers had cleaned after breakfast and it was immaculate! Everything is cleaned regularly, but the building maintenance/huge volume of guests makes things look scarier than they are - I know this scared off some people while I was there).

This is a really good budget option!!! It is basic, but it has the necessary facilities (enough toilets and showers, hooks/stools in the large individual shower rooms; 2 fridges/sinks/stoves). The staff is really friendly and kind (although usually busy, during the day). I paid a lot more than my doormmate even though we both booked our first nights through Booking, but the owner made it right when I extended. Although there are no comfy lounge areas, the dining table areas were serviceable and a good place to socialize.

During my recent stay at your establishment, I encountered several issues that negatively impacted the overall experience. While there were some positive aspects, it is important to address these concerns in order to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable stay for future guests. To start with, one of the blankets provided in the room was wet, which was quite disappointing. Ensuring that all bedding is dry and in good condition is essential to meet basic cleanliness standards and provide guests with a comfortable resting environment. On a rainy day, I faced a more concerning situation when the ceiling started dripping, almost soaking our backpack. This indicates a significant issue with the building's structure, and immediate attention should be given to address any leaks and prevent potential damage to guests' belongings. The shower experience was far from satisfactory, as the water flow was uneven and the drain was not positioned at the lowest point. This required using a squeegee for an extended period of at least 10 minutes to prevent water accumulation. Improving the shower's design and ensuring proper drainage would greatly enhance the convenience and efficiency of this essential amenity. The soundproofing in the room was also inadequate. I could clearly hear the activities of the people staying above, from walking around and talking to even flushing their toilet. This lack of sound insulation diminished the tranquility and privacy of the room, and efforts should be made to improve the soundproofing measures to enhance the overall guest experience. Furthermore, the absence of a window and proper ventilation in the room was a notable drawback. The lack of natural light and fresh air circulation created a somewhat enclosed and stuffy atmosphere, which could be uncomfortable for guests. Installing windows or providing alternative ventilation solutions would greatly improve the ambiance

Functioning kitchen and good setting, social hostel. Friendly owner who offers Cambio-Currency-Exchange at a reasonable rate. Close to bus terminus.

The hostel wasn’t very clean, in the shower, the water didn’t vanish because of a construction failure: the drain is higher than the rest of the shower. It felt very chaotic. I booked a female, ended up in a mixed (which is okay for me, but it just shows how chaotic everything was). There was not too much space in the kitchen to cook. With all of that, I would still be fine, but: The room itself was horrible - it felt like a shed, or maybe that’s what it was: it was outside the house, it was super cold during the night, I wore everything I had, because the “walls” or planks were very thin. And it didn’t have any windows! It was a room for 4 people, and there wasn’t any space. I saw another room where they just put as much beds as possible, without real space to put the luggage etc. I booked for two nights, but left after the first night, because I really didn’t feel comfortable and at home at this place.

The staff is really friendly! The location of the hostel is good. It is cheap.

This is a lovely hostel for a great price! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and there was an asado organised one evening (maybe by a guest?) which was a great way to socialize. It seemed mainly Spanish speaking but we got along with our very basic spanish and help from slow-speaking staff and other foreign guests! It is well located, just a short walk from the bus terminal, supermarket and tourism office and has everything you need. They let us use their luggage storage when we went up to the refugios and their banana bread for breakfast was delicious! There were also raspberries and plums growing in the outdoor area which were tasty! Thank you very much Hostel Piltri:)
