There was a large gap under the entry door so the first floor was cold.

The bathroom could use a renovation. Breakfast not included. Payment was a bit annoying because it does not go through Booking.com but instead they keep messaging and chasing you for cash collection.

The place has has two decent sized rooms.

underestimated the challenges with a staircase separating the bedrooms from bathroom. take a little balance in the dark.

location was great. host was really helpful. the main floor worked great to lay out all our backpacking gear. few blocks from almost anything in town.

We stayed in one of the apartments not the hotel. Reasonably priced is basically the only real positive thing to say about this place. Its ok to sleep but not comfortable. They offer free bad wifi below 1mbps. Most of the time not working at all. There is zero cell phone reception in the greater el chalten area so be prepared to be offline. There is a free public wifi spot at the childrens playground in the center of town which works a little bit better than the one at the inlandsis. Some cafes offer wifi, but most of them also dont work. I was unable to do my online job here for a week which sucks. The apartment itself is basic and feels pretty old. It smells bad, i think there is a sewage problem. It was nice that they come over to clean the place every day. Staff is also friendly. There wasnt really a place to sit comfortably. The sofabed thing in the living is very uncomfortable, the bar chairs are too. We missed a diner table and normal chairs to sit on. Actually the apartment is not a place to hang out due to that. It is okay to sleep here but we tried to be away most of the time till bedtime. Basically everything is old and needs maintenance or needs to be replaced. I mean, there is a divx dvd cd player in the room lol. Like someone still uses discs these days. The bathroom too. Mold growing on the walls. It was nice to have a bath, but the smell coming out of the drain in the bathroom was gross. The kitchen is really bad, it has some old kitchenware and most of it is dirty. Probably the worst kitchen we ever experienced at an accommodation. Stove basically unusable as the gas didnt stay on. First day we tried to cook but had to throw away food due to that. Later they told us that apparently you need to hold the gas button for 2 full minutes for it to stay on. We tried to cook again but still it kept falling out when you turn a button. Stove simply sucks. So be prepared to go out every day for diners. Cooking here is basically impossible.

Friendly staff Daily cleaning of room
