How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The bathroom and shower area could be cleaner, but the other guests need to keep it clean, as the housekeeper does leave it clean, but the other guests don't. Mentioned washing machine but they said they didn't offer any laundry for extra payment
Jos and Rom from the front desk staff were cool and extremely helpful. Both with good vibes and a smile. The best ones! Thanks for the help and for preparing breakfast

Very nice staff who kindly accepted us when we arrived early and even offered free breakfast. Also we were allowed to stay and use the facilities after we checked out but needed to wait for our late bus. We really appreciated it. Much recommended!

The staff are all knowledgeable and speak perfect English. Amir is an outstanding asset for this hostel and is not only a great source of local knowledge but a very charismatic person. His open and easy friendship made my (3 week) stay at this hostel an absolute pleasure. The hostel is well located near Plaza España. A large Carrefour supermarket is only about 500m away- Saint Martin Avenue (a main shopping and services road) is right on the doorstep. The rooftop terraza is a distinct asset and a superb gathering point for guests, especially in the evening. Many guests used the parrilla, including me (for an Aussie-style BBQ though). Breakfast, while unchanging, is very good with boiled eggs, bread (with jams y dulce de leche), cornflakes, oats, drinking yogurt and tea/coffee. On occasion fruit is included, which is great. The three-tiered bunks are all very secure/stable which means there is no movement from other guests resulting in a better sleeping environment. The beds also have privacy screens which make for a great, more "secure" sleeping environment. I stayed in the lovely city of Mendoza for five weeks and moved between five different hostels (3 or which for only a day or two) - This one is the best, especially when one considers the price-to-value relationship. I would highly recommend this hostel to my travelling friends.

The place is a bit run down, especially the bathroom. Window facing out to the street, and therefore a lot of noise.
Nice and helpful people working there. Good beds. Lot of commons area and terrace. Nice location not too far from the bus station.

Lovely staff, really helpful and gave good advice to help us plan our time there. Comfortable enough bed and clean space. Breakfast was one of the better ones as far as hostel breakfasts go! Would recommend!

Having to ask for a key to my room every time I want to enter. Also, there was a hockey tournament this weekend and the kids were super loud all night and morning

windows were difficult to open, room stuffy. mozzies but staff sprayed the room which helped. there were no blankets, just sheets, felt chilly during night. asked staff for help and next day got a blanket. Oskar very helpful.

wifi was average. some rooms it didn’t reach very well. I asked a worker where I could exchange USD and said he didn’t know and didn’t seem to care to help when I asked again.

It's too hot in the room and there's no way to cool down. There was a ceiling fan in the dorm but all it did was push the hot air around the room. AC was mentioned in the listing but doesn't appear to exist.
Really good common area with a nice terrace. Breakfast is simple but does the job. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is good. Staff are brilliant. Perfect location. WiFi works very well. Good price.

But it could be cleaned a bit better and the sheets quality sometimes really bad, I hope they will change all the sheets to the better quality, because having a sensory issues can make it really hard for you to sleep.

Everything was excellent
Excellent hostel, large rooms, shower and toilet inside the room, common spaces and large and comfortable balcony, there is also a ping pong table. The staff was excellent and helped with everything they could. Excellent value for the price

The fridge is not cold and they don’t have lighter for opening the gaz stove.

Some of the rooms had lockers that cannot be locked. While the rooms are constantly locked, it would still be nice if there were individual lockers available.
The hostel is perfectly located in the center of Mendoza next to Plaza Espana. Walking distance from the bus terminal. They have a 24h reception & the staff all are amazing human beings. The wifi works well. The big terrace is a plus & invites to socialize with fellow travelers. I will definitely consider to stay there again next time.

Kitchen cooker could be repaired/upgraded.
The breakfast was nicer than others we've had. The staff were lovely and the kitchen was adequate. Good big lockers for storage.
