You could hear other guests talking in their rooms and hallways at night, a bit disturbing.

Facilities and staff were amazing. Super comfortable and decent size room + breakfast. Staff super accommodating, we could leave our luggage before and after checking in / out without any issues.

too expensive for what they offer, the room is very old and I had an issue with the bank app and I had in the moment of check in to pay for 2 nights and I said that when the app will be back or the next day I will pay for the 3rd night. They didn’t accept this and I stayed at reception until my bank app worked in order to transfer money.

we went to lunch twice. The first evening we ordered a whole bottle of wine. The second night only one glass. For this they charged the insane price of 8000 ARS for a few drops (the bottle from which they poured was almost empty). We spoke to the person in charge and her laconic answer was we spent only expensive wines. We paid ARS 15000 the day before for the whole bottle.

Visitors should know that Argentina doesn't have as many English speaking service workers as, for instance, many European destinations. Basic Spanish will suffice but it pays to brush up in advance! Also note that Hotel Los Nires is in a lovely location around the bay from the main part of town - great for quiet and for nice views, but not very easily walkable to restaurants or sites. It is only a 10-15 minute taxi ride to all the main destinations, and in December 2023 that costs around $7.

Beautiful location, excellent meals and wine list. Staff very helpful, many had some English speaking ability. The whole hotel was quite cozy and serene.

The rooms could use an upgrade - it feels that nothing was changed since the hotel opened.

The room was big and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a bit far from the center however the views over the mountains is really nice. Also they offer a shuttle to and from the city center a few times a day.

Great location, but the room view and amenities could've been better

    1) Noise isolation in the room was quite bad - when back at the room at night we could hear people talk in the next room like it was in our own. 2) When we checked into the room, we discovered an issue with a toilet flush - it barely worked. We notified the reception, and they sent someone to "fix" it the next day and reassured that we just needed to press harder. After 1 flush, it stopped working again, so we mainly had to use the toilet downstairs. For the price we paid for the hotel, a working toilet is an absolute minimum one would expect. 3) We also didn't have a nice view from the room (although we inquired about it when booking but got no answer), which was slightly disappointing since we picked this hotel for the location and the view. 3) This was also the only hotel we've stayed at in Argentina that required a full payment in advance and in euro/ dollars, all the other ones were happy to accept the payment in Argentine pesos at the check in.

The location and the surroundings are stunning - with access to the sea on one side and a view of the mountains on the other one (the view is especially great from the restaurant hall, so make sure to specify you want a table by the window when booking for the night). Although on the outskirts of the town, we had no trouble getting into the town (a 10-min cab ride) or to a supermarket (a 15-min walk). The staff at the reception was helpful and organized a transfer for us from the airport. The room itself was beautiful in a rustic style, with a really comfy bed, good WiFi and heating.

They charge the CC without asking. No cash payment option, so it isn’t cheap but probably worth it.

Big room, clean, very comfortable. Kettle. Great views on both sides. Breakfast had good variety. We had dinner, too. Very tasty, portions on the small side by AR standards.

The room walls were apparently very thin, so you could here a lot of what went on in the adjacent rooms (snoring, talking, TV). We could still sleep very well because we were dead tired after hiking all day, but that was the only downside.

Very polite and thoughtful staff, ready to provide information and help us out whenever needed. We also got a room with a stunning view! Breakfast was complete and hotel very clean. The hotel is not located in the city center, but that for us was a plus as we appreciate the quietness. Hotel offers free transfers to-from the city at pre-appointed hours and moving around with a taxi is easy and cheap, when needed.

Parking was REALLY tough to figure out in the dark. It really seemed as though there simply was little to no parking at this location. As I had a rental car, this made it pretty tough to navigate, especially in the dark.

Location is a little outside of town. The whole time I was here, it was dark, so I cannot really comment on the surroundings. Very spacious room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, etc. Great value in terms of amenities.

The room The staff The food All minute details were incredible. Tip for fellow travellers: This is an excellent hotel made out of Wooden structures. We had been traveling to Ushuaia for Honeymoon. The staff arranged for a courtesy wine. They gave us an upgrade for free (based on availability). We could check in early as our flight from Buenos Aires was early. The food at Restaurant Tio Alberto was exceptional. We didn't feel the need to go out at night or choose an option outside. The view from the Superior room was mesmerizing with the lake and mountains. A free one way cab from Hotel to City centre was given as courtesy (it is 3kms from the centre). The staff spoke both English and Spanish, the entire team was led by professionals to make your stay as comfortable as possible.. Can't appreciate enough how wonderful was the stay and how every single person of the hotel crew made our stay exceptional

THEY WILL CHANGE YOU IN DOLLARS!!!! They charged us with USD instead of Argentinian peso before the arrival. It caused a difference of 125US$ from the price we intended to pay (because we didn’t get the MEP rate). The person in the reception which I think is in charge told me that they charge in pesos only for “Argentinian citizens” which does not make sense because other hotels charged us with ARP. I asked him if he can cancel the dollar charge and charge me with pesos instead, and he said it is not possible . A guest in the hotel overheard us and said the same thing happened to her via booking. I feel cheated from the situation and very unhappy. 125US$ is a lot of money. If I would have known this would be the charge I wouldn’t have come to this hotel.

The staff is terrible. Payment is only accepted in dollars, what makes no sense when the local currency is pesos argentinos. To pay by card it’s a problem too, they don't have a machine, so they try gonna to swipe your card online on their platform to force you to pay the official exchange instead of the MEP (accepted by hotels for tourists), an illegal attitude. Anyway, we were taken by surprise because there was no warning on booking about the payment method, so the bank just didn’t recognized their system and the purchase wasn’t approved online, we didn't have dollars, just pesos, in the end we lost our reservation and had to go back to the town center, which is actually very far from Los Nires and look for another hotel in the middle of the night. Worst experience of my life, the staff suggested we should call the police when I questioned their attitude, so I did and the receptionist started crying in despair because she knew they were wrong. Unfortunately we were exhausted after our flight was cancelled, we lost the patience and were overcome by tiredness and left. I don't recommend it to anyone, save your time and patience.
