How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The wifi wasnt that strong at times(maybe because of the weather?), maybe not enough toilets
Amazing location right next to the main street and the center, but quiet enough, nice vibe to meet people downstairs, comfortable beds, has a kitchen

The place is very clean, breakfast so good with homemade bread. Well located in the city you can walk to the lake and the main street. Staff is helpful

There were insects in the room but they sprayed insect repellent later and fixed it
Hostel staffs are so nice and friendly and welcoming.

everything is super clean, good size of room and lockers, good breakfast, located in the center and next to all important bus stops, friendly and kind stuff, separate toilets and showers - that’s a hostel everybody is looking for!!

The place is great, people are really kind. They have a good breakfast and good showers. Good place to meet people and do some hiking. The location is in the center, so you can take a bus to any mountain

The water in the shower should be more hot The cleaning lady always turned off the heater during the day

Attentive and helpful staff, combined with an excellent location, comfort, the hostel gives you more than what you expect and at a very cheap cost. I don't want another hostel in Bariloche!

Breakfast was a bit skimpy for those used to a heavier meal.
Super convenient location in the center of town and a couple of blocks from all the bus stops and restaurants. Nice hot water, and excellent value for money in the area.

Ive stayed in numerous hostels over the years, and this is definitely in my top 5 favorite hostels.
I normally don't write reviews unless I am super impressed. The breakfast was amazing, and the host(s) were awesome. Staying there I felt like I was part of a community. My translator really got a workout since I don't speak Spanish or Portuguese.

Good location in central town, it takes 15 mins by bus from bus station. Clean room with leisure places, Services are good and be really supportive, Breakfast is amazing. WiFi is good.

no garbage cans, were you would expect,no hand wipes after toilet. Bloody great steps to climb to entrance. it would not be good for anyone with mobility issues .
location is great,to all down town activities, money changing, restaurants etc.kitchen is ok but the usual lousy pots ,pan, poor quality .

I labeled fecha/nombre (as required) but my refrigerator items still got transferred into staff frigo. I had to ask to get them back. Followed directions for storing stuff in common refrigerator. "April" got them back for me.
Staff was welcoming, put up with my broken Spanish and a I conversed a little too loud (sorry) Nicco and April and some guests were cool to accept me even as a tercera edad huespuede.

Located on a street with bustling nightlife (and fabulous bars!) that can radiate noise on a weekend making settling in for an early night difficult
This Jazzy little hostel in a bustling corner of the city sure has a special place in my heart 💜 It’s beautiful humans are beyond attentive and look after the guests and the place as if it were their own 🥰 Breakfast is at 8-11am and is a real treat even for a vegan! And having travelled to many hostels in Patagonia for a number of months, I can confidently say they make the best bread in all of Argentina! Not to mention daily helpings of homemade jam and peanut butter that will keep you smiling on the trails 😋 Thank you so much for sharing your cosy beds and warm showers with me dear friends 🙏🏻 I am forever grateful to your hospitality for making my stay in Bariloche a magical one 💕
