How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

1. Toilet is not 100% functioning - I needed to manually stop the filling of the water. 2. Nobody was there when I arrived and I had to contact the owner in whatsapp to notify them I was in front of the door.
1. The rooms and lobby are clean and tidy. 2. Breakfast is decent. 3. staff is friendly. 4. It's quiet.

We got a room that faces the street wich is much worse than the other rooms ! When you order ask to avoid room 01. !!!!⁰

Coffee could use an upgrade.
The location was excellent in that it was part of the "downtown", but not "central". Everything was within 2 minutes to 20 minutes walking. The breakfast was fresh and consistent and offered variety, including freshly cooked eggs prepared at your request. The management (Gaby) went above and beyond given every request whether it related to the B and B itself or unrelated collateral areas requiring assistance. Staff were friendly and efficient. The B and B is relatively new and recent, tastefully and functionally laid out and decorated, and included some unexpected and appreciated amenities. Laid back, comfortable accommodation with a small but nice common area to meet outside the confines of your individual room. Breakfast table provides the opportunity to meet people from all backgrounds and exchange experiences and get information on places of interest, excursions, places to eat etc. It was rated "superb" when we booked for four nights . Rating certainly deserved.

there is nothing that could have made this stay better. my wife and I both really enjoyed our stay at Soul B&B
The breakfast consisted of assorted tea, coffee, bread & toast, juice, milk, fresh-prepared eggs and some breakfast pastries. Breakfast was available between 06:30-10:00. Tea and hot water would be available all day too. The double room is large, comfortable, well lit, with enough storage space and a giant and very comfortable bathroom. The room is very nice, functional, quiet. Super comfortable bed and large bathroom. Aesthetically it is minimalist and simple but very pleasant and pleasant. Lore was also very helpful in notifying us what would be open and available in town during Christmas Day. She really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable

The property is really clean and location is excellent. We walked to town and to the lake. Gaby is the best hostess. She suggested things to do, restaurants, trips etc and also organised drivers for us. She really is keen for guests to have the best stay. Gaby made our stay so easy and I recommend this property.

No hair dryer - which, when it's cold outside, is more than an inconvenience. Nice but not cosy and atmospheric. The shower floor was very slippery, they provided a non-slip mat for when you were taking your shower, but not when stepping into or out of the shower, which had a high lip (about 40cm). Only one pillow per person, really should be two at minimum. The photos rather flattered to deceive.
Great location if you want to be close to the centre, but not in it. Fantastic shower. Well heated. Spotlessly clean. Good breakfast, with your eggs cooked fresh for you. Early breakfast, starting at 6:30, is good for days when you have an early excursion.

Everything was perfect
The best hotel in town. Just a walking distance to the center of the town with all the amenities you might need. Gaby is a wonderful person, helped us a lot with any question we might have, gave us advice for the area, arranged our taxi, made discount on room price and many more. I would definitely stay there again . Gaby we love you and wish you the best!!

I thought the advertising of the room having a private bathroom was deceptive (although not strictly inaccurate). The bathroom for my room was not attached to the room itself, I needed to walk through the common hallway to access the bathroom. I've never stayed in a hotel or B%B that advertised private bathroom when they weren't directly accessible to the rooms. - The one woman on staff during my stay, while quite friendly and accomodating, didn't speak any English. I managed to communicate with my own basic Spanish, but if you don't know any Spanish then you may have a problem. I was surprised by this as El Calafate is a very touristy town that presumably attracts a lot of English speaking tourists.
Good location, 5-10 minute walk from the town center - Friendly staff - Room and bathroom were very clean - Breakfast was basic but good
