How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Larger kitchen, but not that big of a deal as we ate out most of the time.
The location was great, about 10 min walk to the beach/shops/food outlets.Outdoor area for fresh air and smoking was useful. Lounge area had large tv and pool table which we loved. Staff were amazing and allowed us to store out baggage after checking out as our bus wasn’t for a few hours. Comfy bed , tv, towels, mini fridge and amazing air con in room. Felt safe and it was quiet!

Toilets were so far from our room
We like the cleanliness, kitchen and eating area,variety of food. The free con.breakfast we did no expected,it was a very great surprise. Very friendly and helpful management <3

Great vibes!!! Great place to spend the night, the owner is really nice and welcoming, and provides plenty of food for guests to cook. Great herb garden that you can use for cooking. The kitchen is large and has everything you need for cooking, the rooms are simple and cosy. Super recommended place.

A pleasant and value for money stay. Excellent facilities, well maintained and clean throughout.. Communal kitchen and dining area with everything available for use. Nice outdoor BBQ area, pool table and loan bicycles avaliable. The rooms are big enough with LCD TV and bar fridge. Linen and towels are also supplied. Limited under cover car parking available. 15 min walk from centre of town. This was my 4th stay here and I will be be coming back.

My room wasn’t cleaned once and I stayed there for 4 nights, I also changed the bin myself so I felt like staff working there and not being accommodated WiFi wasn’t always stable even though there are 3 different wifis
next to grocery stores, nice beds and tv with many free streaming platforms, free food and pasta and vegetables Clean bathrooms and nice outside are

Good location: close to the beaches, to the stores, to the airport. Shared bathrooms were clean and not crowded. The facilities include fully equipped kitchen and host provides complimentary vegetables from the own garden, bread, jams, etc.

My stay at 17 North St was only for 2 nights wishing I stayed for 7-14 days maybe in between Christmas & NYE I'll go back for a longer stay and visit the awesome beaches near by while I'm there
I'd strongly recommend 17 North St if your looking for a great friendly place to stay on your next Sunshine Coast trip it's got everything great location the owner & staff are like your best friends

The room was clean and the shared facilities were also clean. There were enough toilets and showers so I never needed to wait. The location is good and the staff are helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

If travelling by car, perhaps bring your own pillow......
Very well-presented hostel type accommodation. Rooms are small but have a fridge, A/C and Netflix. Free WiFi. Shared bathrooms very clean. Kitchen stocked with foods for guests' use. Areas outside to sit and relax. Close to the centre of town.
