AustraliaThere is no exit stairs or steps from Poinciana pool which is absolutely ridiculous and very dangerous. The same can be said with the main bar pool which has no hand rail alongside the steps. Very very dangerous. Except for the steps that go up to the cats eye restaurant.

AustraliaA significant collection of light globes not working throughout the apartment and somehow previous glassware had been put away unwashed. Didn’t love the neighbour using a slingshot at the cockatoos - I understand they’re a nuisance but I’m pretty certain slingshots are illegal.
Nice comfortable beds, buggy was a definite plus making location even easier.

AustraliaFurniture was quite old in this apartment and the apartment had a musty smell as though everything in the cupboards needed a clean out/air out. Some information pamphlets or book would have been handy to have in the room about the island and what there is to do/see.
Great location and views, king bed was great, and the day bed and BBQ on the verandah was nice.

AustraliaAir Con was faulty and when I messaged the property they kept sending staff but they were not able to fix it. It took a lot of following up to finally have the technician fixing it. With the heat of the island it is uncomfortable to spend the night without air conditioning

AustraliaThis was my third stay at Poinciana, the first time in this unit. Compared to the other units it was a bit dated and a few things not working properly. During our stay the stovetop needed to be lit with a lighter but there was no lighter fluid and the aircon leaked lots of water all over the living area and. It could do with a little love.
Fantastic location and great to have use of the buggy!

AustraliaI feel the inclusions for such a nice place is lacking. For example coffee would it hurt to supply coffee pods and moccona coffee sachets along with raw and refined sugar along with a litre of milk. International roast - no good. 3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 adults for 7 days along with the smallest shampoo / conditioner & body wash bottles I have ever seen - no good An information book with a list of activities, rules & things to do would be nice.
The feel, comfort and location is outstanding.

AustraliaThe apartment was generally quite comfortable for 2 couples. However there was no door on the ensuite bathroom which is not great for privacy, and if someone used the bathroom it disturbed the other person during the night.
Great central location on Hamilton Island. Wonderful views and handy to everything, but still very peaceful too. No problems using the golf buggy provided for transport, but we could also walk to most locations easily.

AustraliaThe doors to the balcony are very hard to open. We'd seen this in other feedback and thought people may have been being precious but they were hard to open and close from the lounge and the bedroom. A couple of small things: - Some more plates would be useful. We had to wash dishes/put the dishwasher on after every meal. Plates are so cheap, maybe just throw in another set for convenience. - There was no baking dish (at all) so I had to bake potatoes in the saucepan which was new and not overly successful.
The location was exceptional, it was clean and everything was very comfortable. Although a little late to collect us (not his fault), the valet was delightful and everything went super smoothly. Even when our flight was delayed, he was great with communication and we were able to stay in the apartment until after midday and keep the buggy.

AustraliaWe would have liked some additional towels for our seven night stay (and perhaps an old towel to wipe down the golf buggy seat after rain). However, we were able to use the washing machine to give them a wash half way through.
We loved the location of Poinciana 102 being half way between the marina and Catseye. It was a short walk to both. Beautiful quiet spot nestled on the hill with beautiful views, lots of birds and wallabies to observe. The apartment was very clean, nicely furnished and well equipped.

AustraliaLack of information on property such as instructions for using appliances, island facilities map, contact information of property manager. Beds and pillows are a little uncomfortable.
The property is in a great location. Only a short walk to either marina or beach. It had a great view towards the headland. Great to have use of buggy. The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything you need to make your stay comfortable making it spectacular for sunrise and sunset. Excellent valet service for pick up and drop off to airport.

AustraliaNot keen on not having a door on the ensuite bathroom. Buggy's perhaps in need an upgrade or service as really struggled up hills. A coffee machine or plunger and a sandwich toaster would be great additions to the kitchen.
Loved the location, views, and buggy included. The property's own pool is also great... shaded and secluded away from the crowds. Staff were super helpful when we told them several lights/remotes needed new globes/batteries. Valet pickup and drop back to airport were great and we were very thankful for the late checkout.
