I like the location, near to Central Station. Staff are nice and was able to discuss about the hotel.

The only thing I didn't like was that the bed felt very hard and you could feel the springs. It did remind me of staying at a grandparents place and using their spare bed, so that was a little nostalgic. The remote took a bit to respond when pressed, but that could be because the batteries were old.

The location is very close to the train station (about a 10 minute walk), which makes it very ideal, it's also in a quiet area of Sydney. The room was quite spacious and had a desk, chair and double bed, the bed was rather uncomfortable, but for the price and location I really can't complain. The bedding and pillows were clean and stain free, and the towels were soft and fluffy. There was plenty of toilet paper in the bathroom for the stay, and the towels were replaced daily. There were plenty of lights, including 3 lamps and 1 overhead light. The staff were friendly and helpful, letting me know when breakfast was, etc. They provided free fresh fruit 24/7 in the lobby for guests, which was a pleasant experience. When walking to the front desk, I never had to ding the bell to get their attention, they would just appear as I stood in front.

No possibility to turn off the AC or open the window in our room (has a central control for the whole building), so that the air was very dry

The room was cold as the air conditioning couldn’t be turned off or lowered.

Nothing really, aside from usual difficult hotel room power point placements.

Situated close to Central Station, top of George St, the main street. Hotel and room is no-frills but very clean. Bed and pillow possibly the most comfortable I have ever come across in a hotel. Couldn’t believe it. Reception check in and check out quick and easy; the desk people were lovely and incredibly obliging. The guy actually said good morning Deb when I was at the coffee machine. That’s another thing. A Nespresso coffee machine in the lobby! And various complimentary snacks, pastries, cookies. What?! Sets this hotel apart. Also the quiet good manners of staff really was outstanding. Would definitely stay there again. Don’t know if the shuttle driver guy who took me to the airport is associated with the hotel but he too was unbelievably well mannered and courteous. Great choice if so.

Excellent position, minutes from Central, yet not too noisy as it is on a side street. Fantastic touch the nespresso machine in the lobby with snacks at breakfast time. Just for this reason I will visit again on my next occasion in Sydney.

Occasional chair would be a nice addition to watch tv in large empty space or a luggage rack. Layout seemed more about cleaning ease & less about practical functionality. Eg TV on benchtop rather than wall mounted, therefore less room on benchtop for microwave, kettle etc. Microwave on shelves in hanging space however not forward facing so difficult to get food out if clothes hung in space next to it. Bathroom had room for a shelf but there was nowhere to put my toilet bag on the sink. Toilet was in way of shower door & a bit of a stretch to the toilet roll. If in the shower no one would be able to stand at the basin or the door would hit them.

Friendly staff that go above & beyond to help. Complimentary pod coffee, tea & fruit in the foyer all day, snacks & pastries til 10am. Room 504 was a large & roomy Queen rm (windowless was fine for me). Very clean room & all amenities, including bathroom & kitchenette. Microwave, glasses, cups, spoon, ironing board & iron, hair dryer, tv on benchtop a bit odd but no biggie & comfy office chair at benchtop. Hanging space in open rack style. Secure entrance, room key to use elevator & 24 hour Reception. Ask for Map behind Reception as it has free walks listed around city landmarks. Art is subjective but I liked it in my room & Foyer. Great location to Central Station & Lightrail, walking distance to Woolworths at Central Park Mall Chippendale for supplies including sushi bar & cafe within it.
