Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaIt would have been great to have some teabags and milk and basic provisiouns at the property as nothing as provided. It was Easter Sunday afternoon that we checked in so absolutely nothing in the area was open and we were all desperate for a cuppa after a big travel day to get to Sydnay.

AustraliaFitted an extended family of 6 adults and 2 infants. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were able to have our port-a-cots set up for the little ones. Apartment was clean and welcoming. It is close to a railway passage so if you're a light sleeper this might not be a good fit for you.

AustraliaProperty looks much better in the pictures than in reality. Bare minimum of linen, towels and crockery. TV and Wifi did not work. Microwave didn’t work. Bare walls. Had to ask 3 times for a cot, so baby had to sleep on bed with pillows for safety. Finally got a bassinet which is smaller than a cot.
Location suited us - walking distance to botanical gardens and art gallery. Property was clean and provided essentials. Good kitchen utensils.

Australia1. The lock didn’t work at first. We asked to leave our bags at 11.30am - earlier than check in time (3pm) and the lock where we were supposed to get the key to our room didn’t work. The property manager said to come back in a few hours - with no solution on where to put our luggages. We had to leave our bags at the pub next door. Then come back again after 3pm. If we were to check in at 3pm (check in time) we would’ve to wait a few hours when the lock didn’t work. 2. Only 1 stove out of 4 works. 3. The drainage in the bath tub & sink upstairs were blocked (there were bleached hair in the bathtub - they didn’t bother to clean it properly). When asked the property manager to fix he said someone will come but no one ever came. 4. There was a cockroach 5. The brooms were in the middle of the floor when we checked in 6. The hair dryer was on the floor, looks like the cleaners left in a hurry without checking eveything

Australiaclose to the railway so you can hear the train go by all night and all day long. There's also a bar/ pub nearby so it can get a bit loud at night when people are still up drinking. check-in was also at 3pm so we had to carry our bags around all day long which was a bit annoying.
