We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaThe air conditioner automatically switched off after 4 hours & had no climate control & at stages it was either too hot or too cold in the apartment and the water in the shower excessively leaked out to wet the bathroom floor & run down the drain. No biggy but we used towels on the floor to combat this.
The location of the apartment was very handy as it was right across from the marina & had direct access to restaurants & cafes for dinner & breakfast.

AustraliaThe shower leaked from the bottom, so the bathroom always was saturated after showers. The TV could be on its way out as the speaker was crackling. The wifi was very slow and sometimes the foxtel lost connection because of it.
Location, Location. it was so close to everything. the fact that it had a full kitchen with most cooking utensils. Laundry facilities that worked great when travelling with a family. carpark attached with the room.

AustraliaThere is no adjustment capability for the ducted aircon temperature or air flow, just freezing or off. Moreover, there is a 4 hour timer on the aircon resulting in inconveniently having to get up and switch it on again during the night. A very disrespectful scrooge attitude to renters paying at least $430 a night for the apartment. This has been remarked upon in reviews since at least 2022 with no fix. The shower door and floor drain are faulty resulting in water overflowing in the bathroom floor and into hallway carpet creating a slip hazard and possible damage to the carpet. Again, this was reported in reviews since 2002 with no fix. Accordingly, mould has developed around the outer corner of the shower enclosure. Downlight over bathroom sink not working. Instead of replacing downlight bulb, a small table lamp with no lamp shade was placed on left side of sink basin to provide light despite obvious water/electricity safety hazard. Several light bulbs elsewhere in apartment not working. Ancient and well used Sunbeam toaster can easily burn bread risking fire alarm going off and a risk of receiving $1,000 fire brigade call out fee for which renters would responsible. Toilet seat was very loose and wobbly. Bottom shelf on fridge door missing resulting in difficulty storing wine and other high bottles. Stained and unhygienic inner coverings of pillows in main bedroom. Aging plastic pendant light fitting over dining table is deteriorating with bits falling on our food plates. No expresso/capsule coffee making equipment which is expected these days in most apartments charging $430 per night. Just 3 or 4 simple granular coffee sachets along with some tea bags and a kettle provided that you would find in a 2 star motel. Very grubby white vinyl tops on bar stools on balcony. No facial tissues provided in the bathroom. No frying pan provided to use on hot plates, just an ancient electric frying pan. Very worn and unflattering soap dish in shower enclosure.
Good location to nearby restaurants and nice view over Cairns marina but that is where the merits end.

AustraliaThe apartment itself fell a bit short. the biggest issue is that the air con has been set up with a four hour timer - this meant turning it on when you went to bed saw it turn off halfway through the night leaving us to wake up in a sweat at 2am to have to get up and turn it back on, then repeat at 6am - not pleasant and this was only August! I imagine summer would be unbearable. The second bedroom also got extremely stuffy even with aircon on so had to sleep with the door open. thd bathroom was also interesting as there are only shutters with big gaps between it and the main bedroom so no privacy for using toilet/shower if more than one person! There was also issues with drainage in the shower with it quickly filling the small space and flooding into bathroom floor, this might also be why there was several patches of mould.
The apartment location is outstanding - short walk to the bustling centre but along a quieter stretch of water with gorgeous views. The lounge area was sufficient with a very comfortable couch! Beds were comfortable. Washing machine and dryer were very useful.

AustraliaThe A/C was terrible. It had no thermostat, was sooo cold, and turned off every 4 hours which meant you had to get up in the night cause it would turn off and shoot to 35c. We got the worst sleep and this aspect really ruined our experience. I am not a child and am capable of turning it off and don't need a 4 hour timer. Shower door did not close and flooded the bathroom. It was not clean. Eg: There were dried up contact lenses on the bedside table. None of the lamps were plugged it so we spent 30 minutes doing furniture gymnastics to plug them in and then only half worked.

The location is the best! Right beside the marina to catch your tour boat and lots of great places to get food. The lagoon was just a short walk also.

Australiait falls well short for comfort. the lounge has stains all over it and you sink in it that much you feel like your going to fall through it. it is very uncomfortable. the fridge has shelves missing. the air conditioning only has one setting so it’s either off or freezing. the main bedroom door is hard to open as it rubs on the carpet. The furnishings are like they picked them up from the curb. this place needs an internal face lift.
