I organised this stay for my husbands 30th. We had been wanting to stay here for a while and it was the perfect occasion. The aesthetic of the hotel is like no other around town. It’s cosy, clean and gives you a luxury feel even though it has a 1970’s vibe. We loved the record player, bath and guitar in the large room. It made us feel at home. We will definitely be back.

Bar staff need to be a bit more hygienic. When you are sitting at the bar it's hard not to notice.

the smell in the hallway was not all that pleasant. and the staff at the restaurant was maybe a bit too cool, even for the ace :).

from the friendly welcome over the nice views to the well-appointed, spacious suite - there were many reasons to be happy at the ace. if you are looking for a casual, lively hotel with all the comfort and the amenities of the deluxe category, do not hesitate to book a room!

The Ace Suite was large for my wedding party, it was quiet yo get a good sleep the night before and the large windows made it feel bigger than it was.

My only (slight) complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom is dreadful - very hard to do your makeup when you can barely see your face!

Quirky AF. Same as all the edgetarians that proceed To drink there. Kind of like the London vibe but a bit too try hard. Non the less still very good.

The room we stayed in was small, so the basic room would have been extremely tight. Additionally, the room is on the expensive side for the size of the space and services received.

The beds were super comfortable and everything was very clean. They also provide free bike rentals, which is convenient (especially because central CBD is a considerable walk away). We were able to take the bikes all the way from the hotel to Bondi; however they don’t rent the bikes out when the forecast shows rain. The hotel was also kind enough to upgrade our room since they had extra availability.

Lighting in the bathroom and shower is too dark

Loved the vibe of the hotel & music, and staff were all helpful and friendly. Beds were super comfy and the room decor very cool. Loved the little touches in the room - having a clothes steamer was a bonus and great bar options. Also, fabulous restaurants, bars and shops in the neighbourhood, we walked everywhere with Pelegrino 2000 being a standout.

Our room was very small for the price point - we have stayed at other hotels in the CBD for the same price and a much larger room.

It was a very cool hotel & great location for exploring the bars and restaurants of Surry Hills. The rooms were very well styled, a great blend of industrial chic

We wanted to get a drink at the bar on the top floor and we were told there was no space. As hotel guests it would have been great to get a priority.

It was warm and welcoming the bed was probably the best bed I have ever slept in. All staff were very accomodating and went over and above to ensure my stay was exactly what I needed it to be. We had dinner a kiln which was exceptional!! Amazing stay thank you x
