Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaVery run down hotel. Really needs a renovation. Rooms were mostly clean but some of the common areas were not. Unable to watch television as reception was so poor. Very noisy from street noise particularly at the front of the property.

AustraliaShower in the bathtub, no screen so the floor gets wet but just used the bath mat and an extra hand towel to keep the floor dry. It is a very old style hotel but is suitable if you want convenience to the mall, transport, clean room and a bed for the night.
Stayed in a family room over a weekend with two friends. Great position as the hotel was so close to the mall. It is an old hotel but it was clean and sufficient for our needs as we were out exploring most of the time or at the Fringe Festival. Friendly staff at the front desk.

AustraliaI can't even describe the level of dirt, and noise, and how the photos on the site are so deceiving. Absolute shock! This place is so old, it's falling apart, I'll add some photos. There was mould everywhere, things were broken and I felt so disgusted by everything! When I first walked in, the smell in the entrance felt like walking into a public toilet kind of smell. A second later, a lady (on drugs) walked in, accusing the guy at the reception of stealing her bag and asking where it was. He took her out, but this whole thing already made me feel unsafe! The guy at the reception, overall, after 4 days of stay, I softened up and thought he was nice, but at first encounter, he made a few unacceptable comments regarding my credit card and luggage, and how I'd find them on eBay and he'd spend money from my card. Ok, maybe it's just an untactful sense of humor, but I wasn't in a funny mood and I don't think it's funny. 10 minutes after I walked into my room, I realized how bad the place was. Not like the photos at all. Then the door opened, a stranger, by mistake, I got scared. I just couldn't stay so I asked for a refund to I'll take myself elsewhere, but was refused. he moved me to a different room. I actually checked out 2 more rooms before deciding on one, as the first one had only a small window and it was frosted, no light in that room, so claustrophobic. I read in one of the reviews (only after the check-in), about the noise levels, so I asked for a room that is better for me and he offered the one on the 5th floor, away from the road traffic and morning bin trucks and drunks in the ally. This place stinks! Of course, the "Jacuzzi" would not work, but I wanted to use it as a bath, started filling it up, and some grime and what felt like grease was floating around, omg, so gross! Please see the photos!
The most horrible place to stay! Sorry, there's nothing good about this place! Ok, the little bow/flower on the toilet roll, that's the only nice thing I found! Even the soaps in the black bottles are a cheap refill, not as what's on the labels. Broken window, loose cables, this place is in pieces! I had some videos, but it won't let me upload them, so just check out the photos. Stains, mould, whatnot! I've seen better places in a third-world country...

Location was specifically chosen for picking up walking tour. Central in Adelaide CBD. Clean, large room but needs new paint job and bathroom sink etc. Furniture adequate but very basic. All about location in this instance. Bed very comfortable. Right in restaurant and night-life area off Rundle Mall.
