How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The remote control for the heat pump did not work properly all of the time. We reported it to reception staff as we were checking out.
Comfort of the apartment, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. The apartment was exactly as was expected.

We were on the third. Floor and being in flinders street ,was very noisy with trains going passed

The dirty balcony with the rubbish on the outer ledge.

Not easy when lugging luggage to get from the car park to the room. TIP: Park on level 2 of carpark, as that is where the lift to the rooms is. This will make it much easier for you.

Can imagine it could be very loud during Friday/Saturday given distance to cars/trains/casino etc. Not a good idea to have a car with you, parking is crazy expensive.
Awesome location for exhibition centre, Southern Cross station and Southbank. Access via trams as well. Reasonable distance to supermarket and several food places.

Nothing not to like although the showers takes a little getting used to but all in all a great place to stay
Cleanliness, staff were friendly and close to the tramline and a short walking distance from train stations and main city attractions such as the crown casino and convention centre

The Showerbath was very slippery a non slip matt should be an option
This has a welcoming foyer and the room was comfortable & well equipped. The location is very good with easy access to trams & proximity to Southbank. We are returning again this month.

Shower was very hit or miss with temp. Dryer didn't work well at all, took hours to dry anything. Freezer didn't really freeze anything -ice cream went soft and leaked which we cleaned up. The building does feel like it needs a revamp, the rooms are looking very tired and need an upgrade.
Location was excellent, great walking distance to most things. Nice to have a balcon with a bit of a view. Lady who checked us in was very friendly. Great price for a week.

In the room need to clean more in the cupboard and the glass was quite dirty need to improve.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I requested to get the quiet room from outside noise, they also arranged it to me. Even the outside view wasn’t that good but I could sleep well. Location was very comfortable, in front of the hotel has a tram station in free zone area.

Advised that they had given us a room upgrade. Only to find a lot missing like coffee table, foot stool, extra blankets and pillows. That's when we realized we had been given a disability room with wheelchair access.
It's location which is why i have stayed several times.

Disappointing the swimming pool and spa were closed for maintenance which I was looking forward to relaxing in. No TV in the bedroom. A blanket would have be handy to throw over you whilst watching TV in the loungeroom.
Located about 10 minute walk from Southern Cross Station/ SkyBus terminal so very convenient. Apartment was very spacious and well furnished/ laid out. Full fridge and stove. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Shower over a deep bath.
