That we couldn’t stay longer this time

Lovely well appointed room, fresh, and spotless. In such a quiet area. And the thoughtful little touches like chocolates, biccies, nice tea and coffee and sourdough bread for morning toast. Oh and the linen was just gorgeous. Thank you 🙏 we will be back

The long life milk isn’t the best tasting milk but I understand it’s more convenient for the owners … I miss the small motel milk containers that were around at most motels but not many have them anymore.

Such a nice room with so many extras like sourdough bread jams and marmalade biscuits coffee and tea.

    Pretty great all round !

Breakfast was great - delicious sour dough toast with a cup of tea on the verandah. Having the historic gold mine behind was very handy for a walk . Very quiet location. Would definitely stay there again . Beds super comfortable !

    Nothing! It was all great!

Wonderful stay at the Albion. The room was very clean and well equipped, with basic toiletries provided, toaster, kettle, microwave and bar fridge. The room included basic breakfast and farm fresh eggs to take home. Great communication with staff and easy self check in.

A bit far from the centre of town if you don’t have a car - but I knew that when I booked. The local taxi service was very convenient with all details on how to book available in our room.

Our family room was very well renovated, comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast, tea and coffee provisions were a very welcome touch.

Clean and comfortable. Self check in & out but I contacted the owners a few times and they were very quick to respond and friendly. They provided us with lovely sourdough for breaky and even gave us some eggs from their farm to take home. We woke up to markets across the road which was awesome. Would absolutely stay there again.

The walls a quite thin, luckily this is a lovely quiet place but we could hear conversations of the people next door so louder neighbours may be a challenge.

Beautiful place to stay and close to Castlemaine. It had everything we needed for our short stay and we had great communication and a lovely welcome from the owners. We appreciated the sourdough bread for the morning too :)

It was all good. A bit out of the main town centre but that wasn’t much of an issue for us as it was only a 5 minute drive in.

It was an older motel that had recently been renovated. So a very pleasant room. They also provided lovely bread to toast with a nice selection of spreads. Plus selection of teas and coffee. It even had a mini outdoor seating area at back of room that was nice for breakfast. I had some special requests for check in and they were very obliging in trying to help out.

Nothing! Ok maybe the shower the water kept going hot and cold.

Loved everything, they have thought of it all. Lovely sourdough and condiments, coffee bags and Milo. Smarties were a lovely surprise for the two kids. Beds were comfy, air con and ceiling fan made it nice temp to sleep in hot weather. Great location opposite the market.

I was very happy with my stay, only minor inconvenience was the ceiling fan clicked pretty loudly, but with air conditioning I was fine turning off the fan. As I said already I slept great!

Simple room, but lots of effort has been put in to make it very comfortable. Very thoughtful touches like sustainable toilet paper, natural sukin soaps in shower and local sourdough in the fridge. All much appreciated. Had a great sleep!

At the last minute we had to catch the train to Castlemaine, instead of drive. The motel is a moderate walk out of town. So if you are not driving, stay at a place in town.

The Albion hotel is very clean and the sheets and towels are white. The rooms are recently refurbished and it was quiet. The communication with owner is excellent. A basic room which is fine for a short stay.

    Zero

The room has everything one could ask for with extra touches like the Darrel Lea chocolates and the Lindt biscotti. Plus the milo :) The room and bathroom are exceptionally clean, the linen fresh and crisp and the caretaker - Ange - divine. She goes above and beyond to make the stay better than you could hope for. Ange even drove us to our party 10 mins away. Bless her. Yes, the property is not close to Castlemaine, but we ordered in a pizza from Dominoes - so much better than Dominoes in Melbourne. Added to everything else, on a warm night, one can sit in the little beer garden and enjoy the ambience.
