The outside area could have some plants, even plastic plants in pots rather than the bare concrete, given it is the Garden Court Motel

The check in and check out was very easy, there were plates/cups etc in the room. Everything was very clean

The screen door was torn, which was unfortunate. (easy to fix with some screen repair tape from bunnings warehouse or similar, at minimal cost.) The small back courtyard of the room could be made nicer with little expense. For example a local artist could showcase work, with funding from a local business sponsor.. By creating a garden like mural on the fencing. (with subtle advertising of local attractions to fund it). A cheap and cheerful table and chairs combo from kmart or bunnings or similar could improve the look and function considerably. A potplant or two with succulents would also be lovely and relatively low maintenance. (lovely pots can often be found cheaply from 'tip shops' as people renovate homes they will unfortunately throw away lovely items, great if you can support the circular economy and save them. Giveaway groups on Facebook marketplace are another option. Most succulents are easy to grow from cuttings.) Security felt lacking, which initially lead to feeling a little unsafe. The back door lock was minimal and not very secure. A wooden curtain rod which could be placed along the sliding door railings at night would help with this, at minimal expense. An explainitory notice /visual guide could also help. A security screen/fly screen at the front door would also be helpful. Allowing airflow and the security of seeing who was at the door before opening. A shade cloth over the swimming pool would add additional privacy from the multistorey building across the road. Overall the accommodation was fairly priced and an excellent budget friendly option. The service and the little touches, such as the condiments (great tea selection), toiletries (lovely surprise) and excellent shower head really made a big difference :)

Service was excellent. Friendly, approachable, non obtrusive and helpful. Location was quiet, yet central. Shower head was awesome!!! :) Tea selection was great! :) Toiletries provided gave a lovely, surprising touch of thoughtfulness and welcome :) Thankyou. Overall will stay again and was happy with value for money.

Well provided with cutlery, crockery etc. Very comfortable beds. Everything worked. Microwave at table level..(Some people put them down low, so can't read them.) Plenty of towels, generous owners.. Lovely people
