Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe room was a LOT smaller than the photos made out - eg. couldn't use toilet without legs touching the sink / vanity. One of the power points wasn't working (the one near the beds). The air conditioning (cooling) was... confusing - the person we contacted via this site said it was running - but the room was very very hot as the afternoon sun hits it. I refrained from pressing one of the buttons in the room, as it was labeled "heating". Turns out... the button was for turning the A/C on and off... NOT for just the heating. Would recommended they change the label on the button to "Air conditioner" or "Heating / cooling" to remove any confusion. Also, the main big window behind the fridge was 'painted' shut - not able to open it. Sharp edges near the fridge shelf (friend cut himself) and also poor removal of fly screen on the window near the front door - it's sharp and I cut myself. This place needs a little work to bring it up to standard, especially given the price point.
The room was clean and quiet, but wouldn't stay here again due to small size and some other issues.

AustraliaSome minor things, the light above the stove didnt work and the bathmat in the bathroom was wet when we got there, but didn't take away a great experience.
The place is very clean and maintained well, close to the shops and a short drive to thredbo and perisher. The place had everything we needed.

AustraliaKitchen appliances were worn out. The oven took over 1 hour to warm food up to a lukewarm temperature. The dishwasher didn't clean the dishes at all. The microwave blew the fuse. The range hood sounded like it was about to explode, so we didn't use it and the living area filled up with steam/smoke. The fridge doesn't close/seal properly.
Quiet, comfortable, good location, good parking.

AustraliaThe room is very tiny, but really all you need when going to the snow. However, over $350 per night for a tiny room in East Jindabyne is outrageous!! I understand that all prices are expensive but I still can’t get my head around it. Other than a sanitary bin in the bathroom, there was no other bin available, we had to use a paper bag.
The ducted heating was great and the staff were extremely responsive to emails. The shower was warm and the room was very clean upon arrival. Soft fluffy towels and the mattress was pretty comfy!

AustraliaIt has a microwave but no cutlery or crockery or tea towel. And only two cups as well. Continually using bathroom basin to wash up. You have to sit on bed. It is a tiny room but could have had a fold down table, and fold chairs. Temp is set to 23. Not negotiable. It was too hot for us so had to leave the bathroom door ajar with louvre windows to the "fresh" night air to regulate the temp. Doors did knock a bit when closed so wasn't a bad outcome. Pricey for the room size. And no balcony. Thin walls...noisy neighbours easily heard.
Location is fine on top of the slope of East Jindabyne. Very good view and surprisingly no real highway noise. Dated but is clean and tidy, very comfy beds, heated, has toiletries and fantastic rain shower head. Despite the small room there is ample drying room type stowage in the water heater cupboard. New TV, microwave and tea/coffee facilities. Parking at room level or on private spaces on driveway above the building. Key safe at door and excellent communication made for easy check in. Very quiet part of town. Very good hot water and never ran out. And had your own bathroom...some places is share.

AustraliaSmall size fridge, which isn’t that big of a deal. No extra storage to put larger items, which again, wasn’t a big deal.
Easy check in process, friendly communication from the owner, clean facilities, SUPER comfortable bedding which has been rare up until now. Great access to facilities like drying and washing machines which was unexpected. Plenty of parking.

MalaysiaThe price does not match the place too expensive. The sliding door is making a loud noise at night. We can't get to sleep peacfully as if someone is banging the window. Which is quite scary .
The cleanliness, all household equipment, and kitchen utensils are so handy.

AustraliaThe cleanliness of the room and facilities were a little questionable. When we had just arrived, there were still crumbs on the floor and stains on the bedsheet and it didn't seem like the floors were cleaned at all before our arrival. The cups provided were dirty and crusted with some white debris and you aren't provided any dishwashing liquid or sponges to clean them which was a little disappointing so we were lucky we had our travel mugs with us from our drive up to use instead. The walls are very thin and you could hear entire conversations (even mere walking around) of guests on either side of your room. Whilst the heating was nice and toasty, it is set to a consistent temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, which you can't adjust but rather, you can turn on and off only, so it does get a little too hot if you leave on during the night but also too cold if you turn it off. Whilst the place advertises free wifi and does provide you with a password to access it - we were unable to connect to it throughout our stay.
The location, view from balcony, free parking close to the entrance of the property and heating in the room was nice. They provide some basic items such as access to a microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle and even a hairdryer in the bathroom, which was great.
