How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I did my booking online with booking.com, for two twin beds, but it ended up being two single beds - which I found a bit too small to sleep well in. Also, when I turned the jets on in the spa bath - two clumps of hair came out.
The staff were lovely and the rooms were clean. The location was fantastic and I would stay again.

The car park, gravel, but would be important in winter with the snow

Absolutely nothing. We love how the property has been renovated and updated over the years from the brown brick walls to the fashionable shutters and up to date bathrooms.
We have stayed at the property many times. we chose this instantly as it is centrally located and we need a short stay accommodation to attend a funeral. When we requested early access to our room, this request was instantly granted, for which we are very grateful. It meant we could could change out of our travelling clothes and get ready comfortably and arrive fresh. Thank you so much for this.

The blinds allowed to much light in at night, the hot water tap in the bathroom sink leaking too much.
Cleanliness, the quality of the bed and how well the room was set up. The Easter bag chocolate was an amazing touch. Well done

Bit of a walk to the rooms from the car park with your luggage.
Very clean and comfortable studio apartment. Beds are fantastic! Quiet location.

Personally I do prefer a more supportive bed, but I know I am unusually keen on firm beds. Also I didn't see a trolley to take our luggage to the room till later, so a fair bit of carrying.
Everything really, spacious high ceiling room with everything you need (if you take your food and brekky with you)

The public spa, although great needs to be looked at, as the chemicals really hurt our eyes.... Not sure if the PH levels are checked daily but could only stay in there five mins, my eyes did not adjust....
Stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments.. We love these rooms. We asked for a king bed in both rooms and staff obliged. Each bedroom has a tv, aircon and fan... The bathroom has a spa and also a small tele in there for watching whilst soaking in the tub.. Big TV in lounge room, fridge etc... and location is great, short 5 min stroll to the pub in main street for dinner. Tennis courts outside our room, had a warm spa in the public area and a swim in the pool... Have been coming here for 30 years or more... The best place to stay in my opinion...

The staff were amazing (Steve was very attentive and helped us book an extra couple of nights at a busy time). The facilities are great and our room was clean. Being walking distance to town makes it a fantastic location. We even had a massage organised for us at the resort 👍

Couldn’t fault it
Great family accomodation. Very clean and well maintained. Comfortable beds with great facilities. Staff are lovely and helpful. Pool and tennis courts are great for family activities. Short walk to shops and local restaurants/cafes. Very happy with our stay

Shower was over the spa bath & too difficult to get into with limited mobility! Bed was very hard. Room was right next to pool so loud noise from early morning till 9pm at night. Parking is quite a distance away from rooms, so it means transporting luggage in carts across the large carpark & around the swimming pool area to rooms
Comfortable, but older style, room with all mod cons including 2 king size beds, spa bath, TV in each bedroom, lounge & even in the bathroom!! Heated outdoor pool, tennis court & games room.
