Unfortunately the pub downstairs is closed Monday and Tuesday And yes we did know that and there are good choices a short walk away

The hotel has the essentials just about perfect, including a plug for the hand basin in the bathroom as someone who shaves by using a hand basin, this is a personal added bonus so often missing in most hotels. The hotel is old and has a wonderful charm, but some attention to detail could give it a wow factor. e.g. when I walked into my room - the mounted TV was crooked, most of the lamp shades were crooked. These details cost absolutely nothing to amend but add a lot to a first impression. Also, it is a pity there is no breakfast available at the hotel.

Location is absolutely perfect. Just metres from the beach with a wonderful sea view, and just a short stroll to the centre of town. Was up early one day and caught the sunrise from the balcony which was spectacular. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. All in all it is a wonderful place to stay.

Buttons on toilet when flushed stayed down. Thus toilet water ran and ran.

My partner & I found the hotel to be comfortable & in a central, seaside location, good value for money, with basic yet very adequate facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the downstairs restaurant served delicious food and drinks. A lovely old historic hotel in a beautiful seaside town of SA

The hotel was old....that's OK itvis but it was pretty tired and needs some money spent on the interior...overall that maybe reflected in the price. No aircon. Were glad we did not stay another night because the temperature was 35 degrees and it would have been too much.

HENRY on reception was great but the hotel was basically deserted on Saturday morning. Superb location and lovely balcony overlooking the beach. Room was spacious

The reach of wifi is weak; but if we have our data plan, there is not much of a problem.

The location was superb. It was within walking distance to the seafront, shops and eateries. I had a room with balcony looking to the sea; took some nice photos of the sunrise. Although the hotel is dated, it has a nostalgic feeling; a rare gem to stay in. The bathroom with spa was very clean.

Felt this wondeful historic building needed some care and attention to bring it up to what could be a great place. Maintenance of door locks and bathroom fixtures and fittings needed attention

Excellent location. Freindly staff. Walk to most of Victor Harbours Attractions. Its a heritage building so dont expect modern fit out. Still great affordable accomodation.

Unfortunately these old buildings sometimes have bad plumbing there is a bit of a whiff from the bathroom
