How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Some aspects of property looked a little tired. It would have been good to have had light switches at bedroom doors, rather than needing to go and switch on bed-side lights.
Nice enough property in a good location. Easy to get to with a car. Shared laundry facilities met our needs.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The linen and bedding were perfect and everything looked lovely. The codes we used to enter the building worked exactly as described in the text.

Loved everything
Had everything you needed Very clean and extremely comfortable bed Loved having a coffee on the balcony in the morning My husband loved the google he loved asking it the weather or play music Kitchen had everything you needed and I could connect to my netfix easy . Everything was close by Loved Yalamba wine room and tour by Daniel kavanagh he was so informative and very knowledgeable on the family history

Addition of a full mirror could be awesome.
Cozy bed, great amenities, centrally located, couldn’t ask more. One of a best stay through booking.com. We would love to back again and strongly recommend.

Well presented and very clean. Extremely comfortable bed and fabulous rain shower. Netflix provided and google mini. Easy walk to shops and eateries in Angaston. Great security features and entrance lighting. New laundry equipment with clothes line and individual airers.

Nicely furnished 2 bedroom apartment within walking distance to cafes and shops in Angaston. The king size bed was very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped for cooking with a coffee machine and coffee supplied too. Nice, quiet position with parking at the rear of the property. We stayed in the Chardonnay suite which is upstairs.

Property was slightly dated. A more up to date television offering more entertainment offerings - a smart tv with more than just free to air programs would have improved our stay.

Super cute little apartment with great facilities. Very comfortable beds, coffee machine in the kitchen, light, bright and very comfortable. Off street parking and the laundry were great. Great location, short stroll to the centre of the village. Excellent base for our long weekend

There was a slight musty smell in the apartment, we couldn't work out where it was coming from. We would have liked a TV in the bedroom. Everything else was great.
Angaston Mews is in a great location, a short stroll to several dining options and shopping. The rooms were very quiet and there was plenty of parking for our ute and trailer. The rooms were well appointed and we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable with really nice sheets.

It would be nice to have more bench space in the bathroom.
A peaceful location which suited the places we wanted to visit perfectly. The lounge area in particular was well furnished and light and airy. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, an excellent standard of cleanliness.

Another guest took more than one parking space for themselves so we parked out front for part of our stay. We brought some DVDs to watch but couldn't get the DVD player to work. Neither of these were an issue though.
Beautifully appointed with very comfy beds and warm bedding. Loved the rain shower and thoughtful touches by hosts. Great location, close to restaurants, cafes and shops but still very quiet. Although we didn't meet the hosts we still felt very welcome.

The apartment was great, only downside was that the toilet didn't flush properly- always had to use the toilet brush to ensure everything went down. Plumbing issues?
