The apartment wasn't very clean. The reception was being used by the managers as an extra living area for them. Not a good look!

was in process of renovation which should be good but still should have been keep cleaner, the pool is nice but the pool area is not attended to and very uninviting garden needs attending to. The furniture is very old and needs updating.

Room was a bit tired and in need of an update. Kitchenette was very basic and two of the three plates were chipped. Barely enough utensils for a meal setting. Bed was a bit soft. Street frontage made room noisy during peak times.

we were not advised of the property undergoing significant renovations prior to our arrival. Trades on site from 07:00 and starting a truck mounted suction pump at 07:15. Definitely no ‘quiet enjoyment’ of the property, noise of pump with balcony door closed reached 78 db and door open 89 db - well in excess of WHS limits. Painters on site also so had to be careful with not touching freshly painted stars and handrails although they did have signs out. Our 7 night stay equated to 6 of suction pump and 5 of painters. Also could not use swimming pool owing to scaffolding blocking access to this area. Approached manager on Thursday and said we were not happy with the situation and she offered a 20% refund. if we hadn’t asked would this have been offered??? Subsequently found out other accommodation is available in same complex (through a third party agency) for $110/night and we were paying $160. Our accommodation was reasonable a little dated perhaps and bed comfortable. Have also requested a tax invoice and as I write this none has been forthcoming.

This was our second time their. The first time we were welcome by a very friendly lady. This time around no one was around the whole weekend. The kitchen pots/pans/ustensils had to be washed, they were all greasy and dirty. The TV remote didn't work.

Not luxury one up from backpackers, tiny no milk or cold water in fridge, dirty inside and out, bedding uncomfortable, grounds are in ruins, greeted by smelly bins in car park, no batteries for remote to TV, not suitable for more than one uncomfortable night stay or if u can't handle stairs, have to use carport to enter building as entrance door broken but we were advised of door situation before arrival, sorry but this is one of the poorest places we've stayed in cairns and we come and stay in cairns alot. Won't be coming back
