How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The lounge is well used, not very comfortable, Noi towels rails in bathroom, TV not able to access all channels.

We were very happy. It is an older apartment, but that didn't worry us because the size was generous & had everything we needed.
We loved the amount of space, the well-equipped kitchen, washing facilities & the pool. The owner was lovely!

The details provided on the booking site could be amended to delete the coffee-maker, radio, kids books, puzzles and games which were listed but not available. The TV could be upgraded so that all channels can be accessed as required. The two wardrobes would be better with a couple of shelves added. These points are minor compared to the enjoyment we had staying here. My grandchildren and I want to stay here again.
The location is close to any beaches, services and shops I wanted, eg, the patrolled Surf Beach is just a few minutes drive away. The apartment was very suitable for me and my grandchildren. The pool in the complex is fabulous and kept the children well engaged. The apartment was meticulously clean which was a pleasure. The main bedroom and lounge/dining area was quite roomy. Allocated undercover parking is under the apartment. The kitchen has adequate utensils and crockery etc for a holiday. Please add a colander to the utensils. Excellent fridge, washer and dryer. Balcony on which to sit is an excellent feature. The barbecue area looked clean and appealing though I didn't make use of it. Very pleasant owner.

Parking is tight with a larger car. Top bunk did not seem very sturdy and safety rail was loose. We only used the single bed and lower bunk.
Convienient location for families-beach and large enclosed playground across the road, local IGA, bakery and coffee shops within walking distance. Although dated, the apartment was neat and clean, and key collection from lockbox was a breeze. Prompt communication from the host. Beds were comfortable. Washing mackine and dryer were handy.

The parking spot was very difficult to drive into. One more towel each and hand towel would have been good.
Very close to the beach, IGA, restaurants and Batemans Bay. Very clean and a great view of beach and playground. Enjoyed the verandah and appreciated having a washing machine and drier. It was a well equipped unit and the pool was very pleasant.

One of our criteria when choosing where to stay was it had to have a pool however the pool had a closed sign on the gate that looked like it had been there a long time. Not sure why it was closed as it looked fine and sparkling clean and we saw people in it one day
this was the cleanest holiday appartment we have ever stayed at, very impressed! great location

A bunk bed was provided in one of the two rooms, but the lower part of the bunk bed is quite low that made it dark and hard for a child to do any movement; the sliding door to the bathroom couldn’t be moved; no wifi was provided.
The location is good, close to the bay.

The bathroom cabinet over the tiny basin is in the way. Bathroom needs renovation.
The location was ideal, over the road from the beach and plenty of eateries around. Clean and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment.

Parking space for car was very narrow and difficult to get into.
Location was excellent and very close to beach and playground and supermarket. Nice extras such as electric blankets and having a clothes dryer.
