How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

rollers on front door but this was getting fixed. kitchen cooking utensils were slightly lacking but we got by. there was one issue one of the nights with the smart tv not connecting to the internet apps i.e. youtube and netflix when it was connected to the internet, this could have been operator error but i don't think so.

The shower wasn’t good. Hard to control the water temperature. Had to turn on and off the cold water tap many times to be able to finish the shower.

Simple apartments, great as a holiday base. A little dated, but they were clean and tidy, and well located with the beach only a block away. There's a small IGA within walking distance, or a 5 minute drive into town for more options. Having a washing machine was helpful too. Would happily stay here again.

The kitchen was poorly stocked with 2 large saucepans, and a couple of large frypans which were of poor quality. There was no coffee plunger and the toaster didn’t work. Unfortunately there were a number of units occupied by road maintenance workers and there were several trucks parked on the premises which sometimes made it difficult to get out. The trucks woke us up before 5am every morning as they were diesal and very noisy. The workers themselves were quiet and obviously had no control over their early morning start and noisy trucks.
it was central and close to the beach. The property had a no noise policy after 9pm. which meant it was nice and quiet at night. Although the reception wasn’t occupied due to Covid there was a key safe and the code was sent prior to us arriving. The unit was clean.

Previous guests left glasses, pots, fry pans and BBQ dirty. Couch is comfortable but needs a deep clean.
Good location. Close to shops and 30 min walk into town. Plenty of room to move around inside and a nice outdoor area to sit around. Unit had aircon in lounge but not bedrooms. Asked if we could have a fan please and had one provided. Probably only hot in Esperance a small part of the year.

Pool wasn’t great, needed a clean and no shade. Tiled floors in units could do with a good clean

The general furniture and fittings were a little dated and could do with a spruce up. The spa was little smaller than expected from photos but it worked so was pretty happy with that.
Location was central to most tourist sites as well as the town which was walking distance as well as IGA and the petrol station. It was also very close to the beach. Cooking utensils were in good condition.

No internal doormats meant debris enters easily (although cleaning utensils available). The couch was fine for 2 people however a little firm. I'm unsure how 5 would go (potential bed spaces)
The beds were really comfortable, the water pressure was phenomenal, the kitchen was really well equipped and the outside area was spacious. It was nice being a little outside of town (about a 30-40 minute walk in) and super close to a beach. Plenty of storage space to keep bags out of sight and the manager was easily contactable for any requirements.
