I had to leave at the end of the week!

The tranquillity and privacy of this cottage is wonderful. It's lovely to sit with coffee or wine on the verandah overlooking the tree-filled gully and watching the nearby birds and kangaroos. It's also very cosy inside with the wood heater burning on a chilly night. It has all the amenities for a peaceful and refreshing stay.

This was such a peaceful spot but still close enough to all the many things Daylesford and Hepburn Springs have to offer - the best of both worlds! Tarilta had everything we needed and was super comfortable, we loved having the fireplace.

    Nothing to dislike really.

Very comfortable, cosy and clean cottage. Away from the road, overlooking the trees. The sights, the sounds were all relaxing. Very tidy and well equipped kitchen. Perfect to get away from the rat race and recharge. Fantastic shower and the pillows provided were two firm and two soft. Just perfect! Walking distance to the spa baths and all the springs.

unable to think of anything needed to be improved on. maintenance, cleanliness, access is easy, turning point for cars to turn and drive out of the property. We found everything has been thought off.

Location was great, 3 mins from Hepburn Bathhouse which was one of the reasons to go to Hepburn. Loved the the veranda over looking the bush, saw wildlife, Kangas, birds, peace and quite. The small touches at the Cottage where appreciated bottle of wine, cooking spices, special treat to have with coffee, coffee machine even first aid kits and much more. thanks Anthony and Andrew.

These can all be fixed... Squeaky bed - towels got smelly from dampness and wobbly dining table.

There are so many things we liked about this beautiful quaint cottage- with a landscape to admire, it's perfect for a weekend away- even a mid-week break! As we were packing up we wished we had booked an extra night... Beautiful location amongst the trees, it felt like we were in the tree tops. Every window has a view! Great for a winter getaway, we loved the cute fireplace and spa bath for 2!

I think it may soon be approaching time for a bit of a refresh. Carpet could probably be renewed in the next 6 or 12 months. Bathroom ceiling needs a repaint now as showing signs of mould developing. Not a criticism, but an observation, Noting we stayed over during one of the coldest periods for a few years, the AC isn’t sufficient (and is noticeably noisy like all split systems) on its own, to adequately heat the cottage - the fire is a must. We found that a 15kg bag of quality firewood (about $20 per bag in Daylesford Mitre 10 for quality red gum) per day was required, which we purchased. Perhaps consideration could be given to increasing the current 8kg per day to a 15kg bag per day during the winter months.

Outstanding location and privacy. Beautiful and peaceful bush outlook. Facilities were very good in terms of scope (ie. internet access, laundry, smart TV and streaming, BBQ, AC, kitchen appliances etc). The fire is an absolute must during winter and works brilliantly. Parking is excellent.

Nothing I didn't like, but a little more firewood would be handy as I chose to just stay in one day and just relax so didn't have enough as it was raining off and on and chilly nights.

Great location, peaceful, cosy and homely. So close to Hepburn Springs mineral baths and a really quick drive to everything in Daylesford. Loved to ease of location and the spa bath and wood fire. Also a comfy bed and great natural view all-round with streaming services provided. Plenty of options to make the place and time your own.

Super cold because of the area but the place is well prepared with the fireplace and the split system heater was effective. The bathroom gets very cold but there are heat lamps.

Very quiet, peaceful spot to stay at while we were in the Daylesford and Hepburn Springs area. Not too many frills but a few nice touches that go a long way. The house comes with guest accounts for some streaming services on the tv. There was a fire prepared, ready to just be lit. Plenty of firewood. The owners checked in on us via email to ensure we were all good. It's a very cosy spot, perfect for couples or solo travelers.

Possibly splitting hairs here - a little more firewood would be appreciated (it may be just that we had a particularly cold weekend, and while the aircon kept up ok, there's something about the ambiance of a fire to keep you warm...). Also, and this might be a 'safety' thing and therefore can't be changed, the the hot water seemed a little cool. We were still able to use the lovely spa, but could have used a bit more heat.

Location could not be faulted. In the best part of Hepburn Springs, but still secluded. Right on a main road, but super quiet and peaceful. The cottage itself is beautifully set up and has everything you need to hide away from the world in comfort, but still close enough to town to be convenient for everything including cafes/restaurants. As an added bonus, it has one of the best views from the 'throne' I've ever seen (which is not to throw shade on the rest of the place - every window has a lovely view of the bush).

Nicer than in the pictures. Great quiet local with views from the balcony of trees and lots of birds, but only a 2 minute walk to Hepburn Brewery and 5 minute walk to Hepburn spa. A peaceful local but near to everthing. Spa bath in bathroom with a bush view.
