Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaGreat location, not far from kings park (although you do have to walk up 200+ stairs to get into the park, so something to be aware of), and the bus stops right outside to take you into downtown. Room was on the smaller side, but has everything you need.

AustraliaThe bathroom and the bedroom were not separated, it was one open plan. Would have preferred a bit of separation of the two rooms.
The staff were super helpful. We had an issue with our room when we checked-in and the receptionist handled it with grace and professionalism, and found an alternative room for us immediately. Really easy walk from the hotel to the main CBD and parking on-site was plentiful.

AustraliaMy room overlooked the main road and the sliding door to the balcony did not seal well. So quite a noisy night with the traffic. Plus there were roadworks directly across the road (not a hotel issue) making a good sleep difficult. Doble glazed doors here should be a priority.
Decent sized room with updated bathroom facilities. These may not be to everyone's taste as the toilet and shower (separate) both open into the common sink area which is part of the main room. No problem for me as travelling alone, however it is worth knowing about. Good breakfast available.

The receptionist, Rabten, is the best I have ever met. I've travelled lot of places, experienced many hotels, and this gentlman is the most welcoming one ever. He really treats every guest as family, and I've really sensed the warmth from a person who really cares about you. I give full mark to Rabten. He really made everything feeling like home. The gentlman can be great in the future, I have not doubt about it.
