I have yet to stay in a motel which gives the impression of being thoughtfully built. For example: basins in the bathroom which have space to put things alongside. Taps high enough for an electric jug to fit comfortably underneath. Cleverly designed use of space. In main room. Bathroom fans not on a separate switch and which don’t make excessive noise. Evidence of maintenance having been carried out. I could go on.

The rooms were of a nice size and very clean. Receptionist was lovely. Staff in restaurant were excellent and the food was 5* without a 5* prove tag. Could not fault.

On a main road, there was a little traffic noise, but I didn't notice it once I was asleep.

We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was great and not expensive. Staff were really nice and welcoming. Room was nicely renovated, all we needed for a night. Would recommend.

The lighting could be improved. There was no light to the place where the kettle and the toaster was. A light could be installed there. There was not much of space in the cupboard for the clothes. Specially no racks in the cupboard and no space for the clothes for 3 people. This could be improved.

The room was good and the bed was comfortable. This was worth the money we paid. The food in the restaurant was good.

Parking outside of room 8. Big 4 wheel drive took our spot, as no direct parking outside that room and with another large vehicle on the other side, we had to park in the front carpark area.. Luckily, we had already unpacked our car earlier. Not fun trying to pack it the next morning. No response from management that night to my phone call. Parking bays need to be clearly marked and numbered so guests can park outside their room. Was concerned all night about the safety of our car.

My only very small problem was we arrived late so there wasn't enough lighting from the streets for the turn into the driveway but it honestly wasn't that bad just needed to be aware of traffic late at night.

We were passing through, so the location for me was great as we got to go through town to get to the lodge. It's not far from the Hume Highway which was great. The customer service was amazing. Very responsive to all requests, we got in a bit late, but the receptionist was so welcoming and had some great suggestions about where to go and very informative. The room was beautiful, the heater had already heated up the room so it was warm and comfortable, the rooms were easy to get to and everything we needed was inside. Very modern and easy to use. Would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous attentive staff. Great affordable stay, rooms spacious, very clean and comfortable. Short drive to the CDB. Restaurant on site. Great little in room kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery/cutlery and fresh local milk. Free parking. Highly recommend to solo travellers

Showers/plumbing is very loud from inside your room from your own bathroom and neighbours bathroom.

Very accessible and easy location to find the perfect distance from everything, very clean good sized rooms with everything you need, plenty of spare pillows and blankets, beautifully clean and modern bathroom (shower is a bit small and pokey but very clean and great water pressure) smart tv, nice dark towels/floor mat instead of white which is actually so nice and comforting. Close to the road so you do hear the occasional truck go by, but not enough to keep you up at night. Heaps of spacious parking. Friendly staff. Beautiful place.

The beds are a bit firm for me, & the water temp fluctuates when showering is all.

This was my second visit to AH, it's a pretty 10 min drive to town but feels like a bit of an oasis, the staff are super friendly & professional, checking in & out is quick & easy, the grounds are well kept & the rooms are really clean, you have everything you need including a microwave in a huge room, interconnecting rooms are great when travelling with friends or family, parking at your front door, a little bit of road noise overnight but otherwise I highly recommend AH!
