Ground floor was a little noisy. Try and get a room on at least the second floor.

The location is excellent! Right in the heart of Newtown, amongst lots of great restaurants, bars, cafes, and cultural hubs. The first night, I stayed in a double room on the ground floor with shared bathroom. The room is small and basic, but is for sleeping so has everything you need. The facilities were clean and simple. The next 3 night we stayed in a double room on the second floor with private bathroom. The room itself was basic, with a very small bathroom. We had a door that opened out looking down into a neighbouring court yard. Was nice to be able to leave a door open to let fresh air in. Lots of public transport options around. Easy to jump on a bus or train to anywhere in Sydney.

The bathroom could do with an update as it was quite small for a shared bathroom.

The one window we had , had a restriction on it, so it wouldn't open even a quarter of the way. It would have been nice to have some fresh air, it didn't even open an ''inch'' .

I didn’t like that Booking.com took the cost of the first night’s accommodation out of my credit card, didn’t pass the money on to the property, which then charged me for the whole stay. Totally ripped off and now having to chase getting my money back. People should not use booking.com & book directly with the property.

The stay was good and comfortable for the price but what I didn’t like was the hidden surprise fees that were not told to me prior to arrival I had to pay a $50 deposit and a surprise $30 early arrival fee??? I’ve never heard of such a fee nor was I told about it I would have waited till the “check in time” which was at 2:30pm and checkout was at 10am the next day not even a full day that I was paying for was given to stay… There was no taps in the room or any with drinkable water upstairs hat I could drink from unless I went down 3-4 flights of stairs to the lobby no elevator just going to my room was dehydrating I was not going to go back down to have some water to drink just to get dehydrated going back up again !! it was a hot day and all there was to drink was from the mini bar which costed me $5 dollars each per can/water bottle!! I think if u are going to have guests on such hot days that atleast the water should be complimentary. Along with the drinks the Kit Kat bar and and others in the mini bar were all the same price!?! I ended up paying almost $200 to book a not even 24 hour stay and get charged for something I couldn’t avoid because it was so hot and the next available tap which would have been boiling water was a total of 8 flights of stairs altogether to achieve There was a kettle and tea in my room but I don’t get how I’m supposed to even have that if there’s no water taps anywhere but downstairs The staff was great though and regardless me and my partner enjoyed our time in Newtown it’s a great place!

It’s a little far out of the city but there are good links by bus/train. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom.

This property is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and Newtown is a nice area.

There was no lift or a trolley for our baggage. The driver for the airport shuttle was on holiday.

Communal bathroom could have been cleaned more often

Location was great as Newtown is a very busy area, good eats nearby and accessible public transport as well. Room was clean and towels were replaced every day. Bed was very comfortable as well.

Building and hotel facilities are a bit old but it’s overall ok

Considering Sydney prices, it’s worth it even if building and installations are a bit old. There are hundreds of restaurant choices in same street and train station is 5min walk

The body shampoo dispenser didn’t work. The curtain was awful and didn’t have a tie back. The bathroom light kept changing from bright to dim. There was a bit of noise coming from adjacent rooms.

The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the view of King St. The staff were friendly. The foyer was a pleasant place to meet friends. The location in king st was fantastic.
