The apartment is quite tired, with a lot of damage to walls and skirting boards - it actually appears to have been flooded at some point. There were no TVs in the bedrooms, despite having the antennas hanging there. Furniture was tired and damaged. There was a lot of wear and tear in this apartment, random hooks and holes in the walls. There was no bathroom door in the ensuite room, which was particularly annoying as who wants or needs to listen to anyone in the loo. The laundry had a very strong mouldy smell, which was unpleasant, and the clothes airer was broken and unusable. I also removed rubbish from under the beds from the previous occupiers. For the price we paid for 4 nights accommodation and the location, it was disappointing to note so many issues.

We had a pleasant stay at Mariners North. We had a spacious apartment that overlooked the stand, the ocean, and we could even see Magnetic Island quite well. We had 2 bathrooms, which was excellent when travelling with a teen who enjoys her own space. The staff were fabulous on check in, we were actually able to check in early, which was fabulous after being in a hot car for several hours. The pool and spa areas were great. We spent quite a bit of time there.

Not a dislike, more an improvement - no doona on the beds? Just a sheet. Was a bit disappointing. Would have liked a fully made up bed for the price you could just climb into, not drag a blanket out of the cupboard to make it yourself.

Reception lady was above and beyond when it came to customer service. Nothing was a hassle. Beautiful views, really impressed with the location. The apartment was huge, much bigger than the photos show.

The apartment we were in had kitchen appliances that were old and need replacing.

The position of the property is hard to beat. All apartments have water views of the Coral Sea and balconies to enjoy the warmth and the views. The staff are very welcoming and responded to our needs in a very timely fashion.

View of ocean and pool thru the pretty tropical gardens was lovely. Very spacious two bedroom apartment. Comfortable bed with nice linen. Balconies on both sides was nice for the breeze. Access to adjacent 50m public pool was lovely for lap swimming.

The location was excellent. The spacious apartment, cleanliness & facilities. A perfect time away and excellent kitchen facilities to make family meals. The washing machine & dryer facilities was great. We will definitely be back & was worth every cent. Was the most beautiful place we have stayed at for a family get together. Cannot recommend enough. Michelle @ reception was very kind & helpful and very welcoming. 5 star rating of location, facilities, customer care & a happy feel at the Apartment.

Could hear the units above and next every time they dragged out a chair. We enjoyed our view but we assumed ocean view would be a clear view and not on the bottom floor.

This wasn't an issue for us, but some people might find the stairs to the apartment a bit of a challenge as there is no lift access. The lounge could do with replacing, it was quite dusty/old smelling, flared up the sinuses every time I sat on it. With this said, I've stayed before and I would definitely stay again.

The location is perfect and the view is stunning. Easy walk to shops, pool and restaurants along the strand. The apartment complex, pool area, gardens etc are very well cared for.

Stairs only (no lift) the lounge chairs were so uncomfortable we couldn’t use them (a plank of wood with foam cushion - I think they were outdoor chairs)

Access was a pain!! Family stayed on another level and was a pain every time we wanted to go up or they come down, opted to take the stairs after a wedding an the Saturday night and got stuck between level 5-6 at 1am!! Luckily was able to call a family member to come otherwise would have been interesting. I would not like to be stuck on this hotel if there was a fire or other emergency

If I had to be fussy fresh towels on day 3 ( stayed 5 nights) would be good

I loved the open areas, that the master is away from other bedrooms, 2 balconies and fantastic location . They Is everything you could ask for in the apartment . Close to ferry terminal, eateries, the Strand and the Ville
