There's really nothing I can fault the Sydney Boulevard Hotel on, though if I had to knit-pick it would be issues getting through to reception on the phone, whilst I was still in Canberra making arrangements. They are a big, busy Sydney hotel so I understand, and they did try to phone me back. Once I got through on the phone, the staff were extremely helpful.

Love the rooms at the Sydney Boulevard Hotel - really spacious, comfortable beds (even the rollaway), and fantastic views out over some significant Sydney icons at an affordable price (including onsite parking). The location really cannot be beat - everything within easy walking distance, Woolies next door, fabulous French-inspired restaurant across the road, and Hyde Park just up the hill.

It was a very busy weekend due to a concert on so our room was only cleaned once during the 4 nights.

Would have preferred a menu to buffet for breakfast. We arrived at 6am from Canada and were told our luggage could be safely stored at hotel only to find our luggage was stored in the lobby.

The room was not serviced during our stay. Although, they explained they only serviced rooms every 3 days, this period is too long: at the end of our stay, dust was already accumulating over surfaces, trash cans were totally full and we run out of toiletries. Although there was a TV it did not have any operating channels. We wanted to watch local news, but it was not possible.

Gym was a little bare bones and sad. Sauna and steam room were similar. Shower head was too low for me and I'm not that tall

Staff were exceptional. All lovely and gave us everything we needed. Self service laundry was useful. Only 10 mins walk from museum and 30 from Sydney Opera house via botanics.

The hotel has minimal amenities - the sundeck had no chairs the day I looked at it, and the kiosk and vending machine are abandoned. Biggest disappointment: lack of storage in the room. Management has gone full in on the philosophy that travelers are have carry-on luggage only and are there for short stays. Wrong. I had a large suitcase I wanted to unpack, but the room, although very large, had no drawers of any kind and a tiny closet with a few awkward shelves, four hangers, and no door. So I ended up piling things on and under chairs, the desk, etc. and from the bed I could see the Harbor Bridge and everything I brought with me, for two weeks.

The view on the harbour side was terrific, even from a relatively low floor. The staff were friendly and cooperative. The location is great for sightseeing, although the surrounding streets are not that pedestrian friendly.

The staff on the night desk gave us incorrect information which led to some grumpy guests in the morning at breakfast - which didn't happen.

The location is great, close to the city, Hyde Park and about a 20 in walk into Oxford St.

One incident where we complained to reception staff about maintenance banging noise from room next door while we were sleeping wasn't received very well from one of the staff. Not even an apology for the disturbance. But later the manager brought us a small gift to our room to make amends and we appreciated that personal touch.

Impressive huge lobby with comfy seating, friendly staff all round (apart from one). Very spacious room, great view that wasn't overlooked. Shower over bath. Woolworths literally around the corner. Not far to walk to everything you want or need. Nice area.

Couldn’t turn off air conditioner Had to ask for beds to be made, bins to be emptied and bathroom cleaned. Apparently it’s done after every third night, which is no use if you are only staying 2 or 3 nights. After being out all day, it is nice to come to a made bed and empty rubbish bins without having to ask. There is no need to change sheets and towels, but I would have thought that, making the beds, removing rubbish and cleaning bathroom is standard procedure for an hotel room on a daily basis, and that is what sets it aside from a AirBnB.
