Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very clean, large room comfy bed and pillows great view of the harbour and city skyline, 2 tub chairs and small table, reasonable hanging space, bathroom a good size, good hot water and pressure in the shower toiletries supplied, nice block out curtains, quiet, location is great 10/20 minutes from everything, lots of eateries close by, friendly helpful staff

Hong KongThe room wasn’t the cleanest, bed sheets has hair and stains on it. The headboard and light switches has oily fingerprints on it, and fridge still have previous customers drink. I mean overall was acceptable, but it could be better.
The room view was great, and we loved the location, it was so convenient walking everywhere, only 15-30 mins walk to the harbour and restaurants near by. And right down the hotel there’s the Metro grocery store, super convenient!

AustraliaThere's really nothing I can fault the Sydney Boulevard Hotel on, though if I had to knit-pick it would be issues getting through to reception on the phone, whilst I was still in Canberra making arrangements. They are a big, busy Sydney hotel so I understand, and they did try to phone me back. Once I got through on the phone, the staff were extremely helpful.
Love the rooms at the Sydney Boulevard Hotel - really spacious, comfortable beds (even the rollaway), and fantastic views out over some significant Sydney icons at an affordable price (including onsite parking). The location really cannot be beat - everything within easy walking distance, Woolies next door, fabulous French-inspired restaurant across the road, and Hyde Park just up the hill.

UruguayThe room was not serviced during our stay. Although, they explained they only serviced rooms every 3 days, this period is too long: at the end of our stay, dust was already accumulating over surfaces, trash cans were totally full and we run out of toiletries. Although there was a TV it did not have any operating channels. We wanted to watch local news, but it was not possible.
Room was spacious with a really nice view. Location was good, close to CBD and main attractions. Personnel at front desk were nice
