The room setup was a little strange with a couch right next to the bed facing the bed, just felt a little cramped. Found the service at the joined pub to be woeful.

Beautiful views, good location. The bathroom was fantastic.

Staff at the reception desk were super friendly and easy to communicate with. Hotel room was clean and super warm for the cold nights. Convenient location.

Missed out on the sea view due to the room mix up but overall the room was probably more comfortable anyway, so all well!

We came to Bicheno for the penguin tour, and the hotel was very well located for that. There was a gorgeous little beach very close by, and a nice cafe with beautiful views across the road. There was a mix up with the room we booked, but the staff were able to put us in an even nicer and newer 2 bed apartment instead. We didn't have a sea view but the apartment was lovely.

Room size was a bit small for a couple with 2 kids - no lounge chair. General sense that the rooms were a bit tired. Staff similarly were not as engaging or welcoming as expected albeit polite.

Location in town good - not too far away from main shops. Sea view facing room excellent and can park at the entrance. Onsite pub for dinner is very convenient for tired travellers.

No breakfast options available but there is a nice bakery a short distance away.

We had a room at the front of the property which had excellent ocean views. There was a lovely little outdoor area with table and chairs which we made good use of watching the sunset while sipping a glass of wine. There is also a Bistro attached to the property with good meals. It is within easy reach of a number of restaurants and attractions. Very clean and relaxing property.

The staff were really helpful - We rode into town on bikes, and ended up with torrential rain. Whilst sheltering in a bakery, we called the accommodation and they were very helpful and happy to let us check in earlier, which saved us from a fate of spending the next 2 hours eating pies, and drinking coffee. Much appreciated. The units have a fantastic sea view, and given the weather, we decided stay dry, and eat in tavern attached to this property - The meals were hearty and reasonably priced

Lack of cooking facilities - though, this was my fault, I interpreted picture & did not pay enough attention to the written description. Worked out well in the end.

One bed a bit uncomfortable and probably needs new mattress. Didn't provide breakfast but nit toaster either.

Heated swimming pool. Bathroom lovely and decent size room. Food at bistro excellent and very well priced.

The room was not as the one we chose. First it was with an extra 1 small bed, but we would’ve liked with the table and two chair to have breakfast as we saw in the photo. Secondly, the bed was very huge (which was good) but not too comfortable, it was hard. And finally, we asked a late checkout and they told us that we can get out at 11 am which was nice, but someone of housekeeping told us that we have to leave the room before although we told her that we asked to a late check out at 11 am

Recepcionist was very kind and coordinate with us to left the key of the room on a locker after check-in hours

Only 2 cups & 2 teaspoons provided, no dishcloth or tea towel. Hard to have breakfast without bowls or spoons. We had smokers next door, the balconies were very close.
